That's not true at all. They still pressed us & had a truckload of chances after the goal. They were excellent (we were rubbish tho in the 2nd half), but I don't see another 3 gears there.

After the goal they let us keep the ball in our own half. They moved men back and the second we crossed the halfway line pressure was applied. They still created chances even with just 1 or 2 men in our half because we were fucking piss poor and gave the ball away but they were not playing to the best of their ability after their goal.

It's easy to see these things when you watch the actual game and not just city.

They may have had 1 or 2 in our half, but they often had 5 or 6 in the middle of the pitch. We took off Nasri & brought on fucking Kolarov which made an already desperate midfield situation much much worse. We had 5 or 6 stood in a line in our half, then a whole squad of Germans owning the midfield, then 3 or 4 players all marked by German defenders, stood 40 yards further up the pitch.

Isnt that worrying. Decent prospects should be in our youth set up and bedded in slowely. Not starting for the English champions against Real Madrid away.

If the team & the captain were on top form, I don't think there would be a problem with Nasty coming in & taking Lescott's place from time to time. Vinny would talk to him & help him along, so he would improve quickly. When Vinny is clearly all over the place, sticking a 19 year old kid next to him is a joke & Nastasic is learning nothing, just making Vinny even worse.

That's what I'm saying ted. They were more than comfortable and didn't need to come at us so they just sort of let the game play out while they were in control. It was like watching city in bobs first season and some of last season.

Positive: Nastasic, not clumsy, great passer of the ball, understanding, fast, young, promising.

I thought that his passing last night was shite. There was a spell in the 2nd half where he gave the ball away 3 times in the space of about a minute. Ball retention is so important at that level and I felt that he kept hoofing it or panicking and giving it away. You have to BVB credit though as they worked like mad to press us all over the pitch and force them kind of errors.

8 of their 22 shots came after the goal. They had 36% of the possession overall, it was pretty clear their plan was to hit us on the break. Of course they retreated even more after the goal & tried to ride it out, but suggesting they had another 3 gears in them is ludicrous.

As for their fans, the only thing they're dreading is the amount of chances they squandered, I can tell you that much. Lewandowski's horrible miss in particular. If they went for the jugular as you put it, they could've created another handful of scoring opportunities, sure. But they most likely would've squandered those too AND ended up more vulnerable & exposed at the back on top of it.

If we play like we did last night, we will still be on one point. Ajax are a much better side than that pathetic City showing last night.

Don't forget that for the first hour it was toe to toe and City played some great football and had some great chances too.

And Dortmund have won their League twice on the trot and thrashed Bayern 5-2 in their Cup Final last season.

He didn't go looking for the ball much either tho. Lost it a few times early on and I saw at least two players decline to pass it to him shortly after.

If he wanted the ball all he had to do was stand near Rodwell. Lad must have the highest pass-to-dribble ratio in world football at the moment.
