I was thinking Milner for MOTM just before he scored. Kolarov's best game for ages but he didn't have to defend much. But for workrate at both ends of the pitch has to be Jimmy

I was pleased to have so many contenders to consider. Went with Milner in the end, could have easily gone with Kolarov or Zabs.

Milner, kolorov , Micah , silva etc were all brilliant today. But for me, it's Barry . Watched him all through the game today. Most underrated player in the league. So important to us

Agree with both of you think Gareth did well but not quite the normal high standard you get of him afraid to say same with Yaya.To high up the pitch.

Milner for me, with Micah close behind.

But there were superb performances across the team today. Silva was fantastic and involved in everything we created. Barry was brilliant yet again and demonstrated why he's so vital to our team. I thought Tevez and Balotelli played really well and worked hard up front. Mancini's sub for Aguero was to change things a bit but should be no slight on Balotelli's performance. Kolarov was excellent - admittedly he wasn't tested much but his goal and assist were superb and he made a great defensive tackle too when Sunderland were on the attack.

All in all we should be delighted with the squad and Mancini today. We looked back to our best.

For me it was Kolarov, scored a cracker, set up Aguero and defended well when Sunderland threatened in the second half with a well timed sliding challenge - however he shaded it from Milner who was immense, ironic as he was everything AJ never was - brilliant cover for Zabaleta & got a high five for his troubles. Richards was great but seemed too eager to get forward - could he be the next YaYa?

Kolarov played a blinder today. I think that was his best game in blue.

Milner a close 2nd. Worked his arse off and got a goal. Barry, Micah and silva did well too.

Kolarov, goal, assist and most crucial tackle of the game.

Some very good performances, but if you don't get MotM as a fullback for that day's work, you have obviously pissed off the rag-loving media with your cocky strut and wild social mannerisms.

Milner for me. Immense.

The old saying 'covered every blade of grass' was almost true in his case. I don't think there was a single area of the pitch he missed.

I wonder if alot of those voting Kolarov over Milner didn't just watch the 'highlights' on MOTD.

It was the perfect game for Kolarov as,fortunately,he had very little defending to do.His attacking play and crossing was excellent though.

No, I watched the whole match. Twice.

Kolarov was motm. He played his position better than anyone else who played their position. Maybe if we were playing a team who was playing a different game, milner wouldn't have had the freedom he had?

Crazy way of looking at it. Kolarov had 2 assists, 1 goal and was in the right place at the right time the rare time he was needed in defence, including a last ditch tackle on the final attacker.

That is why he was motm.

Fucking highlights indeed.

If Balo had attacked the gap like he was supposed to, he would have had another as well, balls don't get anymore 'on a plate' than that.

There was one point where Milner had chased a ball down like an excited puppy and caused their fullback to put it out for a throw. As Zab retrieved the ball he clapped Milner.

But a case could be made for a lot of players yesterday and that's what we need to get back to. Even Mario did well in the first half, despite being constantly assaulted.

A piss poor Sunderland side but we beat them at a canter. Just a pity there's another bloody international break.
