Watched Chelsea v Norwich and Chelsea deserved at least two and possibly 3 penalties. So it's not just us but we seemed to get fuck all today based on the game highlights they showed on football first. Clear fouls on Balo Silva and Milner that were not given.

Looks that way.

Couldn't believe the cunt let gardner elbow mario in the face, kick him in the face, then pull him back by the neck on the edge of the box.

And still the same player didn't get booked until way after that?!!

Shambles. We just didn't give him much opportunity to be any more of a cunt.

If you look at the stats, we gave away 12 fouls to their 11. We're a dirty bunch of hackers and were lucky to finish with 11 men on the pitch. It's the same every week, we ways give away more fouls than the opposition, even through we have more possession and a better pass completion. Yet you all blame the refs. We should be complaining to Mancini about our Stoke style of football and suggesting he brings in some players who can actually play.

About 90% of the 50/50 decisions involving David Silva, went against him.

Either he is a dirty little sod & a diver, or the ref was shit.

On Wed, we were given a dodgy (but not technically incorrect) pen. Other than that one decision, I had little to complain about. He got the occasional one wrong but on the whole, he did fine, just like the bloke at the Bernabau. In fact the only bloke to really shit on us in Europe, was when we played the German rags last season, which is par for the course at their place.

Meanwhile, in our league, of which we are Champions, our refs are letting people elbow our players in the face, giving a higher percentage of 50/50 decisions against us & won't give us a pen for anything.

How strange. Makes you wonder why we are getting a better deal from refs who are from outside this country.

It was one of the few occasions that we didn't get the first yellow card. We got away with it this time and I'm glad to see the steel and determination back in the side, even at the expense of style and total domination. I think that with Toure's power, Kolorov's agressive streak and Ballotelli's attitude we can kick most teams off the park. Clearly the refs have the best view of all this and the stats don't lie, thankfully no Sunderland player was hurt.

The tackle on Tevez was a red. The overall dispaly from the officals was poor so bad that the liner on the east stand side was unsure of a corner for us until James Milner put the ball down and told him to put his flag up. Sunderland stayed in the game with a manage the ref policy.

okay, i'll give you that....the high foot wasn't carded, but that is typical sometimes..i think.
i dont recall the elbow but, tbf, mario dives all over the place so its hard for the ref to tell when its legit.

gardner should be playing hockey, not football. that guy is awful and only in the 11 to destroy people.

Indeed. Gardner is a cunt.

I don't know what you mean that mario dives all over the place. He might moan and whinge but I've rarely seen him dive.

Don't get me wrong, I've read about it and heard about it in the media but I haven't seen it.

Petulance should not be mistaken for cheating.

That aside, the ref is there to spot what is actually happening and this ref either didn't or chose to ignore it.

Gardner should have been booked far earlier and therefore either would have been off or wouldn't have been there to swing out of mario running through on goal or take kolarov out of it for the milner free kick.

These are the very incidents that folk forget very quickly and if we're having an off day, they are the ones that result in a draw or worse.

It is with these decisions that I have the "paranoia". The big ones they can only pulk every so often as it's too obvious.

Can you imagine if Mario was playing in a red shirt, he'd be getting freekicks/cards awarded left, right and centre.

He doesn't dive, he gets actual physical contact but gets nothing from the referee's. And to be fair, he's no Saurez either who throws himself down at any sign of a player looking at him.

So why doesn't he get the calls if they are legitimate? Surely the referee's are unbiased in their decision making, no pre-conceived ideas whatsoever?

Saying that, the Beller's sending off at Bolton told me all I need to know about refereeing.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

okay, "all over the place" was the wrong wording but I definitely believe that Balo makes the most out of every
challenge (sure, a lot are legit fouls) and tends to go down easily.
no way is he near Suarez or Busquets or Marcelo or Di Maria, but on our team I believe he goes down the easiest
and that may make it hard on refs. plus, his gesticulation after all of them doesn't help him either

im not making excuses for refs or anything, although it is a hard job.
i still thought Probert had a good game..guess I must've missed a lot.

................for me, the problem is that Probert did not look that bad - all things considered...............

But that is mainly because of the overt bias we are used to seeing from other refs - so a mildly biased performance seems pretty good!!!
