Falcao

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I was actually referring to RSC who scored for Malaga!

Is something I think we generally lack though. Mario and Edin look like they could do it but never really manage it. No surprise that Micah has found himself thrown up there at times to give us what we miss. Love the passing game but occasionally something different is required, at least on the bench

I think Chelsea are favorites for Falcao, which would be a great shame, as it would give them a huge scoring edge. The only bright spot if this happens is that it puts the Rags further behind and lessens further there chance to win the league.

I can't see us entering the race for him. As much as we would like to see him in the city blue, there just isn't enough room. We have 4 strikers already, and they want to play every game. Plus, we have Guidetti in rehab who will soon be back - we can't have 6 strikers!
If we did, none would have the match sharpness needed to be prolific because they won't get a continuous run of games and inevitably, some will get pissed off and cause unrest.

It really depends, i am starting to think that Bobby had enough with Mario and Balo wants out. Maybe he miss Italy etc, but the problem is that i think only PSG will want him. Ancelotti was interested this summer and i think it will be again.

I really want Falcao here, but i think he will choose Chelsea because there he will play game after game.

Not to mention they will pay the agents fee and the most in wages.

We will most likely say "that's what it is, if you don't like it do one" and we don't look like winning anything this year so far, so unless we can seriously step our game up there is no reason other than money to come to city over Chelsea.

From what i've heard the past years, Falcao is a very smart man. Having a master degree in journalism and another in communication and PR & he is a genuine modest and nice person, so i think he won't be like Hazard, who chose the city and the squad opportunity at Chelsea, instead trying to make his way through the team at Us or scum.

However, when there is Tevez, Dzeko, Aguero and Balotelli, any striker will have a second look at the offer before signing any contract with the club that has those lads.

Fair enough.

However, with regard to the "something different" aspect, I would just say that Barcelona don't seem to manage too badly without having that particular option in the locker. In view of that, I suppose what I'm saying (or trying to say) is that if the passing game doesn't always work, you work harder to improve the passing game so it does work all the time and, in so doing, you never compromise your footballing principles.

I hated it in the 1971/72 season when we had Wyn Davies :- although we scored a lot of goals and threw away the League when we looked to have it sewn up, we became a far more direct side with him in the team.

It got even worse for me when Niall Quinn came along.

Anyway, that's just my own, biased viewpoint.

For the same amount of money, we could also try and get Cavani.

Would Cavani be a better longer term option for us than Falcao ?? Who knows, but in either event, because of FFP, I wouldn't be surprised if both Mario and Edin had to go to fund such an acquisition.

Andy Carroll is a superstar waiting for the right team, he has everything he needs to succeed in England and if you can't see that, then a new pair of specs should be on the shopping list.

Wouldn't mind a player attacking the space as they are supposed to when Kolarov whips a fucking perfect ball across the face. Carroll would have been there.

I know we won 3-0 against Sunderland, I know Balo got bludgeoned all match, but that ball from Kolarov was perfect, not good, not great, PERFECT and deserved someone busting a gut to claim a tap in, Aguero got the exact goal Balo should have 10 minutes earlier. It annoyed me.

Kolarov, also looked like wtf was you expecting it on your head. Balo has it in bucket loads, sadly he just chooses not use it. The situation for me as a fan is to build on last year we need to be at it as best as we can week in week out and Balo is not a week in week out player and defo not gonna do it twice in a few days, The Sunderland game confirmed to me anyway he was not itching to show us he is the man and would be hard to drop It confirmed he is the same player he was 2yrs ago, Easy to agitate and spent a lot of the game ignoring his role which was to link with Carlos and YAYA, who in the 1st Half bollocked Mario for his lack of interest in a sweet pass from CT. Top player when he wants to, he has had special treatment from the management through his behaviour and form, Carlos Tevez, has come back in and from a starting point of zero overtaken Mario and for me with work ethic alone said to Mancini, sell him, he will never do it get as much as you can for him before he becomes a proper arse. In a few weeks we get a look at Higuain who for me along with Falcao suits us far more than Mario If only on work rate and his all round link up play with Sergio for what will IMHO be the future world cup winners.

I sit looking at that area from a perfect side on view & Balotelli didn't need to 'bust a gut' or do any such thing, he missed the fucking ball. It was a poor finish, which Balo himself was embarrassed by, & the real reason, imo, why he left the field looking a bit miserable. The rest is a load of shite which people are imagining in their heads because it's fashionable to accuse the bloke of all manner of things rather than just 'a bad (ish) day at the office'. His workrate was fine, Mancini had no problems with it, but he had an average game & missed a tap in due to the ball going under his foot.

He ran, he got to the ball & he made a twat of himself by missing it. Nothing else.

As for Andy Carroll; put him in a team with Dennis Tueart & he'd score 50 goals a season.

Falcao is actually as good as Carroll in the air when it comes to crosses though, has a leap on him like Dennis Law. Excellent timing.

That's quite a claim. Dennis Law is the best header of a ball I've ever seen.
