I'm sucha bandwagoner when it comes to the national team... this is the second epic game I've missed during Hamréns tenure as manager, the first one being the last game versus Holland in the qualifying rounds for the European Championships...

FRISKT HUMÖR!

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

UEFA are more concerned with tardiness than racism. Had the crowd been late arriving at the game they'd have already been on the case.

Remember the 15 grand fine when Porto racially abused our players whilst we were fined 25 grand for throwing paper on the pitch.

And what about the 'We'll send a player off if he refuses to carry onn whilst being racially abused'?

An absolute piss-take, UEFA and FIFA are not fit for purpose. Just shake hands lads, all is reet!

This is the U21s where it's still all about the game. For people to come out with this at such a game says to me nothing more than it was organised.

If there was money to be made out of properly banning racist chanting/behaviour at games, UEFA would have already sorted it. It'll be 30 years before the people that are running UEFA are young enough to share the prevailing attitude that racist chanting/behaviour should not be tolerated at football matches.

Not Pierce, I forget his name now, the ESPN crew mentioned who it was (one of the backroom blokes) - looked like he got severely manhandled.

I rather call some of them remainders of the infamous paramilitary brigades ("Arkan's Tigers" and shit like that). I was at the ground in Genoa for that game and I'd hardly compare them with hooligans.
I'm always up for throwing some shit at UEFA but this issue is first and foremost a shame for police/intelligence of the hosting Countries: You cannot let those shits enter Your border, knowing in advance that they are coming, with the handle of a football game.

I fucking HATE these international breaks and their surgical downfalls of injuries on our best Lads.
Vinnie risked by the Belgians, now Dave who was getting back his form.

Not to mention the fact that certain Clubs are always respected more than others, when it comes to rotation and team selection...

Let's hope that Dave will be assessed in better conditions that what it may appear in the aftermath.

EDIT: thanks for the Vinnie link. Awesome!
