I think as fans we've always been like that. How many people gave Goater stick when he first arrived?

We haven't mate, we've always had a whipping boy. Many Blues say we are the best supporters, this probably proves we are not.

It maybe something to do with the humorous attitude that we need to let off steam somewhere. Never really done it myself.

PS. Where's Ted, has someone upset him?

That's not really fair. I'm not the boo boy type and have been a big Mario fan since he got here. I had his song as my ringtone for ages.

That said after seeing how much Italy meant to him at the euros and then seeing come back and not even come close to that effort for us, makes me wonder if we're the right fit going forward.

The fact that most agree kind of shows something isn't working.

Look at his performance in the first Euro game though, it was the same kind of half arsed nonsense he's shown for us on quite a few occasions - it took being subbed and criticised to make him get his head together. He needs to find a way to get himself 'up for it' every time he pulls his shirt on or he's going to end up being sold.

There has to be a point at which we stop making excuses for him.

He is what now, 22 years old, and with all respect to any blue who disagrees with this point, he does NOTHING on the pitch which justifies the indulgence he is afforded by the manager. He is good at penalties, beyond that, he brings nothing at all to the table.

Have wanted him to succeed, but he just doesnt look like he wants to succeed. He is in his 3rd season and by the end of this year you will have been able to count his good games on one hand unless something changes.

If an offer came in, we would be fucking mental not to take it

I agree, he does nothing on the pitch.....................expect set up the winning goals to win us the FA Cup and Premier League, score the first two goals in the 6-1 and have a 1 in 2 goalscoring record whilst never being first choice.

I respect anyone's opinion on Mario because he is that kind of player that divides people but don't come out with shite such as "he has done nothing on the pitch" because that my friend is aload of fucking bollocks.

He's not even close to 1 in 2.

The problem for me is all the good games brought up were last season of the season before. A handful of good games every 6 months isn't enough.

He clearly can do it occasionally, but he doesn't anywhere near enough.

No, I don't want to sell Balo and all the other City strikers too! For me Mario is far to be at the top of his carrier now, why do we send away a mad crazy mercurial champion like him now?

Bullshit pal, if his positive contribution is limited to a mere handful of games in just over 2 seasons to date, who is to say the player who could have played in his place wouldnt have contributed the same - or for that matter, more if the player had contributed in the countless games mario has tossed off

If we had a player who was consistent and made the effort week in week out, im fairly certain that player would have made a more positive contribution across a season, meaning we may not need injury time goals to win the league next time round.

I will be the first to praise mario for example in the fa cup final he was immense, but its pointless seeing that player once every couple pf years

I'd also add that for every good game he's been sent off in another.

29 goals in 66 games (45 starts) is no where near 1 in 2?

It's not though is it? He has had many good games over the 2 and a bit years, he has had games where he's done nothing but score and he's had games that he's done nothing in.

Only 5 players outscored him last season in all competitions.

Van Persie (37)
Rooney (35)
Aguero (30)
Dempsey (23)
Yakubu (18)

and every single one of them more or less started every single game, Mario didn't, he was suspended, taught a lesson or injured. Now imagine what he would be like without any of them excuses, it's scary. The question is, is it worth waiting for and in my opinion without a shadow of doubt. We can afford to both financially and patiently. If he was expected to be the main man then the answer would be no because he still can't be trusted but when you have Tevez, Aguero and Dzeko in your squad you can afford to have someone like Balotelli who you know will act stupid but still get you 17 goals. Name another 4th choice striker by attitude and performance who gets that many goals, there is none.

this.

never been a great fan of his purchase (as I never been of any mad pro) but questioning about the wealth of having Balotelli as 4th striker is just.... madness.
I'd rather focus on getting him married with a gorgeous Mancunian psychiatrist with a huge ass, big bobs and appetite for black dicks and desperate case studies.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Decent player when he wants to be, sadly that isnt nearly often enough.

Some games he's up for, others he tosses off, and some others he's an absolute waste of time. Has talent to burn and produced some great moments for us, but sadly those moments are very in frequent. Mancini gives him more rope than any other player, and yet we end up having to deal with several Mario issues every season.

Has talent to burn but the wait for him to be mature and show a modicum of consistency is now at the 3 year mark.

It's not fair, he's a liability, he's an old cunt. Get a grip will you.

How do you explain away the positives. Did he not prove a central strikers role tonight?
