Didn't know which thread to put this in, and didn't want to create a new one, but here goes nothing...

Is it true that this c*nt scored more goals for youse lot than he did any other EPL club?

Sounds about right. I reckon he bagged about 50-odd. He was out on the wing a lot at Chelsea.

That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Well spotted and well done Sandman. It's even worse in New York where those from the Bronx say 'Axe' instead of 'ask'.

God knows how any tourist understands directions when asking for them in United's home town.

Give the guy a break fella's, he seems a good bloke.

As for Anelka, I couldn't believe that we signed him (Arsenal, Real, PSG)and even more that he did well, what was his motivation? Equally as gobsmacked when he left, for fucking Turkey! I was upset.

Even more of a surprise when he ended up at Bolton. He was on top form in his early to mid twentys when we had him.Would have loved him to have stayed at the club longer.

On another point, would you trade Anelka for Carlos, Dzeko or Aguero even if we had a magic rewind button and could make him the same age? Not a chance.

Dzeko a maybe but I notice you missed out Balotelli and he is still one of our (allegedly) four strikers. Think most would swap in a heartbeat.
From the other thread, and my own eyes, it seems this has to be Balotelli's breakout season, or he should be on his way.
Maybe Manc's saving him for the second half?

You spell it as axe? I always am under the impression they see aks, instead of ask.

Anyway, why so hostile to a new member? We might not like Arsenal (understatement), but at least he's being honest about it, as opposed to pretend to like City.

He's not a new member, he's actually quite a respected member.

A 22 year old Anelka would get in over Balo and Dzeko for me.

Anelka was outstanding for us. I loved watching him play. It disappointed me that the rest of our side at the time wasn't good enough for him.

And yes, I'd have the Anelka we had in our team now.
