Dzeko

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Dzeko

Postby sandman » Sat Oct 20, 2012 4:36 pm

Scores most of the important goals, he has the coolest head under pressure, he has the ability in the air and on the ground and he is the model professional, I am honestly starting to believe he is becoming our most important striker.

And to think I would have been happy to see him go for the right replacement over summer, I must have been mad for my lack of faith.

In Edin we trust.

I might be getting ahead of myself here but I'lld rather have Edin in our team rather than the likes of Cavvani or Falco, Edin has continued to proove he is class in the best league in the world.

Edin is getting better season on season. He is definitely a better player coming off the bench and punishing tired defences than starting.

The finish was quality. I've seen him miss some sitters but when he's got his radar on he's some finisher!

Yep. 9 of his last 11 league goals have either drawn us level or seen us go in front.

He's interesting. Hopeless anywhere other than the box, where he is absolutely lethal. The lad is a goalscorer, plain and simple. Asking him to do the fancy Dan City build up stuff (which by the way is looking a lot more like last seasons weekly steamrollerings) is not his thing. Give him the ball in the box though and it's basically a goal every time. He's a machine.

Not strictly true, he's capable of some inspired first-time passes from deep - I've seen it a few times. I still think he's capable of leading our assist charts if he plays every game (or pushing Silva close at least).

I heard an interview once by a cunt across the road who bacon would use as a sub a lot.He said that coming on as sub and scoring was easier than playing sometimes because he could see were all the gaps were and what he had to do.I think our Edin does that.

Maybe to some extent, but I think it's more down to the fact that we change the way we play when we're chasing. We play more directly and throw balls into the box instead of just keeping possession possession possession and looking for that killer pass, which is our normal style of play. And that style does not play to Edin's strengths.

Btw, I thought Dzeko was great as target player today as well. He won almost ever header against Olsson and Tamas (two big lads) and always managed to find a City player. He held up the ball well too.

this.
Edin is the "Miserable Sweaty" of Football.
I will keep saying: keep strong hold of him, though.
and very much hope that Stubborn Mancini, who chased him desperately on the market, made finally up his stubborn mind today!

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

I wish he was quality from the start.
He is a natural finisher but a lot of his game still needs work and whether he will learn how to play back to goal is another matter.
Im not slating him,just sayin.

The reactionary nature of an internet messageboard though innit? Not many in the real world would give ED the same short shrift.

I think he's brilliant. His goals to game ratio proves it and I bet his goals to minute ratio is even more impressive. That said I think Tevez and Sergio are pure quality too.

Edin Dzeko - goal machine.

The Bosnian Diamond is on fire. Our form striker. Wasnt it Steve McClaren who said he takes time to settle but he will score? What ever his shortcomings, he knows where the goal is. The boy did good for us again today. Regardless, he will always be a legend because of his equaliser v QPR last season. I am very pleased for him.
