Anyone see Aguero's reaction to Dzeko's winner? He dropped to his knee's and fist pumped furiously!! It meant a lot to that guy.

Yep - I saw that. I love seeing reactions like that.

Every time we score, especially the crucial goals, the players go nuts. It's great to see it means so much to them.

Someone on another site worked out how many minutes Clattenberk wasted in the first half with his attention seeking activities. Over 10 minutes !

'The Mark Clattenberg show '. the guy should be demoted to the lower divisions. I particularly objected to him walking over with the ball after Joe got hurt ( 1.30 mins apparently)

I'd gladly start and take a couple of appointments of him at the swamp, just for a change. You never know what may happen when he's on stage... ;)

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Just back from the USA and thought I would have a little look back at this thread to see how you all enjoyed the game! As if I didn't know what was being said.
Lescott getting hammered as usual while Vinnie was having a total mare.As a Lescott fan I thought ,mostly he did a good job but he was "done" a few times when WBA got right at us.Plenty of good stuff in there as well.

Mario did have one of his better games and "IF" he had scored from that chance he created for himself it would have been a goal of the season contender.Trouble is he just doesnt look like a team player in the way we play the game and his effort does tend to lead to trouble with the referees. To be fair to him on Saturday he didn't do too much wrong and the refs are looking for him. That tackle,if you can call it that, was more a petulant thing than anything else and that's the way the ref saw it.That 2nd thing was really nothing but looked dodgy and of course the crowd made it seem nasty.

Overall I thought we showed again that our game is coming together.I was liking Milner in that role but I have a strange feeling that we would not have won if we had kept 11 on the field.WBA were all about defending and trying to nick a goal.Would we have won if it had stayed that way? They came out to win the game in the 2nd half and it opened up.Yes their goal was lucky but after we equalised they stayed more open and we got the chance for the winner.

I managed to get to the Mad Hatters for the game and it was a great atmosphere.A mini Poznan after the winner, plenty of Edin chanting and a tremendous feeling to end the holiday

In the 1920s, the World Chess Champion was a Cuban player called Capablanca.

When people used to accuse him (regularly) of being a very lucky player, he would reply "Good players make their own luck".

Same applies to City.

I knew you would have something positive to say about Lescott but at least you have Vinnie to lean on to deflect the SHITE performance of Lescott !!... they are are both fuckign horrible to be fair but Lescott was "done" too many times and we were very nearly punished for it, lucky for us the post was our saviour.
People were horrified when some of us fans wanted Vinnie dropped , well he should be dropped as he has been utter utter dire since the start of the season. He is not improving at all and Mancini needs to sort it out.

Vinnie wasn't dropped, he was 'injured' and that back four included your man Lescott.

I have just watched the highlights again and Lescott was absolutely diabolical, he makes me cringe..worse than Vinnie in this game so I would drop them both and bring in anyone that can play there........they can surely do no worse.

Glad I mentioned his name to get you going again Carl. He wasn't great but he wasn't dire as you suggest. That moment when he had to come across to the right side was a really poor moment when he got squared up and bypassed far too easily but you shouldn't ignore all the times when he was in perfect defensive positions and doing a top job.

None of our defenders are currently looking great and made to look weak in one on one situations. That last couple of minutes when WBA threw everything at us was scary. On the good side it was great to get Barry back as he is excellent,if slow,at seeing and covering gaps and I think possibly Milner is the best to support him there but it's that part of our defensive game that also must pick up so that we start to get some clean sheets.

That bad moment was created by him beating Micah back from the opposition's penalty area - it was the WBA counter attack following on from Micah's bullet-header that Foster saved - both Micah and Lescott were in the penalty area for the setpiece but Micah took his time, meaning Lescott got back first and ended up defending in Micah's position and Micah ended up defending in Vinnie's.

great to have old good common sense - and competence - back with DH.

I agree that's why he was there but he needed to do better to stop the dangerous ball coming across. He set himself in exactly the wrong way to stop Odemwingie who could have gone either way. Classic Micah though not getting back quickly enough. Both would be in my side though.

I wasn't excusing him, jut putting it into context, it was a makeshift backfour for that situation. (and he let himself get beaten far too easily)
