I always support the lads, even Lescott , but when they fuck up it will always be highlighted.

Just checked- it's on arena sport 3. I think IME is the only place in Your town that will show it, maybe VIP pub, and the place across the road from Asia, too...

I am not 100% sure re all of those.no matter how deserving I wouldnt be 100% sure about Micah.But I would have thought Milner was a cert,partly as he has played well but also because he can't on Saturday and we know RM likes to play fresh players when he can.Plus surely Vinnie plays.

I cant see him playing 3 strikers so it's either Edin or Carlos.I think Carlos needs a rest so would play Edin but it would not surprise me if Mario got the nod after he played well on Saturday.

The 2 main ? marks are the left sided defensive pair.I think Gael should play as Ajax are strong in wide positions and I think it should be Lescott but somehow I expect Nasti again.

He isn't suspended - it is three cards in separate matches at the group stage - Eurosport (and previously the BBC) got it wrong. One more yellow and he misses a game though.

Ted I'm not gonna quote you as your post was too long but I totally agree. One of Lescotts mains strengths is that he never shys away from a challenge. He gets so much stick but if others put as much effort in then maybe he wouldn't get left in the shit so often.

Stick with the strongest defence and they'll play themselves in to form.

That's Lescott's biggest strength & weakness. He does the defending, even if it's not his job or even if he can't possibly win the ball; he tries anyway. Some defenders just go 'oh well that's fucked' & stand there looking calm & collected as the ball hits the net, Lescott will scramble slide, sweat, strain, grimace, fart & basically make a twat out of himself trying to do something about it, even if he has no chance. Occasionally, as on Saturday, it saves us from losing the game, as his clumsy but effective last ditch efforts most certainly did v WBA.

There doesn't exist a centre back in the Prem who will stop Fortune in a 10 yard sprint. If one arrives who is also calm & great in the air too, we can replace Lescott with him. Until such a player comes to our attention, I wish people would just shut the fuck up about him. We don't have a better alternative & are nowhere near finding one.

Keep making excuses for him Ted as its just as tiresome as me going on about him.............You highlight the ONE fuckign tackle he made at the end.....just dont mention the numerous times he was done and the post saved us ffs !

Pound to a penny he will be replaced January if not 100% in the summer.

It was a bunch of tired defenders trying a last ditch effort to stop the oppo pinching the game & as ALWAYS, the bloke who was trying the hardest was JL. Nobody else at the back did anything in the game which was any better than anything he did.

No doubt if he makes one mistake tonight & the others ten each, his one will haunt you for the rest of your life.
