There was no reason for Yaya not to play tonight. In the past he's played when he shouldn't but tonight it would have been a mistake to leave him out.

The whole team was at half power tonight & if we'd lost because of that, I'd be on the players' case now, but the truth is, 2nd half we were looking like ourselves. We fucked up a corner, then Mancini stepped in & threw the game. Until half time the players, not Mancini, were the problem. After that goal, his actions make me question his sanity.

Complete and utter mess tonite. Most managers hav gameplans going into champs league games, we seem to jus turn up. Winning the league must be priority now and as unimpressive as we hav been most of the season, we hav quietly got on wiv it in the league n had some good results. Cant see us winning league tho. Our champs league is shattered. Madrid won in amsterdam 4-1. That shows the gulf in class. Still to many average player for me ie:- milner, lescott, barry. Sorry english lads but ur out of ur depth x

I agree with this. Blame the players until Mancini dictated the outcome by pressing the panic button.

Similar to Joe Hart last time but went into more depth with the 3 at the back. Said that they haven't practiced it enough and that they don't like it. We didn't deserve to win and are disappointed with the result.

Nothing really, in our eyes, but something the media can use against Mancini.

Right to play him, wrong to continue to play him, considering his performance and possible injury.

We might want to do it the 'Right' way. We've got to win the Europa first.

We really can't afford another load of Thursday night bollocks, we will have to play the kids & the hopefuls in that imo. The way it looks now though, we will finish bottom of the group.

I think Yaya became a clever bastard, if you ask me. He likes the offensive position and refuses to go back as a defensive midfielder. At that position he is just...meh and let"s Gazbaz all alone, with all the work.

I can swear that tonight he made only one interception. ONE...as a defensive midfielder.

Usually though, in the Prem, barry or Milner would have swallowed up that ball before Ajax scored their 1st, even without Yaya's lack of contribution. Also Vinny & JL would be 5 yards further forward.

We are just shit in Europe, from the manager, down to every single player except Joe Hart v Dortmund.

We are Vigins and need to learn. Get yer heads up, looking at it we are never gonna win it or get much further. Lessons to be learned as we have shipped 7 goals arsing about with the team. To be honest we got away with against Dortmund and tonite we were poor.

Who exactly are the 'virgins'? Pretty much the entire squad played in it last season and then into the Europa. And the Europa the season before. Players like Tevez, Yaya, Nasri, Clichy have played in CL before coming to City and many of the others have played in Europa previously. Mancini has now had several seasons in the CL, as has Kidd. That's without all the international experience.

If it was a team who'd just come up from the Championship, I could understand it, but they are seasoned pros and a seasoned manager. How many seasons do we give them, as several will have retired at this rate.

This was Napoli all over again. In Premier yes, if we would had 1 up like today it would had been game over, however, i am more concerned about this public outburst like Joey had in Madrid or Micah today.

When a guy tells you are drunk, you laugh, if the second one tells you the same, you start to think about it. The same goes with Bobby's tactics this year.

I think his fiery Italian temperament gets the better of him sometimes and he reacts to adversity by thinking 'Fuck it' and hits the self-destruct button even when a situation may be salvageable as it was tonight at 2-1 down. Don't know why he does it but it's worrying

But, to be fair, we weren't complaining against West Brom.

That's a good example though.

Against WBA, he just let the players get on with it & helped them. Tonight, it's starting to look as if he replaced Lescott as a punishment.

Not good.
