Deep-lying playmaker

Postby Superbia » Fri Oct 26, 2012 4:34 pm

Is this the position we need to fill most in January or are we struggling in other positions?

Pizzaro genuinely changed that sunderland game at the end of last season.

The suggestion isn't far off

That was a fantastic performance!
and actually when I saw the topic I immediately thought it's gonna be about Pizarro and I thought there would've been a place for him in our squad for this season (not too big of a role though)

I seem to remember a few games where he started he got given the run around in midfield as the game passed him by , but with space on the ball he certainly had a sweet pass . It would be nice to see someone who can take the ball from our defence and quickly move it forward , already seen too many times this season midfielder or defenders dwelling on the ball , trying to find a forward pass and getting their pockets picked ( Rodwell twice also Kompany ) . Wasnt this what we are hoping Javi can do .

Andrea Pirlo, Xabi Alonso. Both ace.

I'd call Fabregas a deep-lyer too. And Xavi.

Would prefer us to spend what the Sheikh thinks right on the defence if we can, quite happy with David,Yaya and Samir and the others we have. For me if we go down that road I would like us to get Kaka for a few years until Mata's contract runs down and then make a bid for him
