Yeah. Split-second fuck-ups. His passing other than that, his tackling, his positional play and his effort levels have been very good.

You do love a good sarcy, patronising remark. The 'yeah?' at the end is particularly irritating. Well done.

Unfortunately there wasn't a James Milner to take the rap for him when he did it though.

My biggest gripe with Rodwell's fuck ups is that the second one was a carbon copy of the first. I'd expect a young player to be extra cautious after such an experience & look over his shoulder 3 times if necessary to prevent it happening again.

glad I'm not the only one. Sure he has made two big mistakes which he MUST get out of his game but overall his performances have been encouraging

I think Rodwell is doing remarkably well, considering the pressure he's under. But still, those two blunders were quite big and as they were game changers, they can't really be overlooked.

Also, although Rodwell's very mature in his positioning, he does let himself get dragged out of position quite frequently. He's got a very aggressive approach, where he goes very close to the person he wants to mark or steal the ball from. Because he's good at it, he often gets away with it. When he doesn't, it gets very Titus Bramble-esq... if you know what I'm saying.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
