I don't even query clattenburg's decisions, but how could he be sure with either ?
I think we have properly seen the difference in quality of the two challengers.
Yes the Chavs defence is poor but I start to see some improvement in it and if they can recover JT and move Sideshow Bob on the flank, Di Matteo can improve it even more.
While I have little doubt that our defence will be soon sorted, unless Mancini has lost the dressing room (far early to say), I think that a chelsky team with a B+ defensive strength is by far the major challenge.
Yes, the rags are driven by the MIB, but even QPR with Hughes at helm can build a serious challenge if they get 20 refereeing like this,
I am only interested in football and they play a game different to every other side, made of red cards given and denied, penalties awarded for soft divings and stone wall penalties denied to the opponent, off side goals allowed and good scores denied for presumed off-sides. the whole spiced with the freedom to elbow everyone freely, while the opponents get carded for fun.
I do not consider this a football challenge, hence I keep saying that our major contender is Chelsea.
and Cleverley - Carrick is a championship football spine: I cant believe that the refs can keep them afloat for the whole season.
and what about the magnificent CBs line made of Camelgob and Johnny B Good?
