A very respected, revered and enjoyed friend of mine, recently raised a weird, almost funny interpretation, of recent developments on the Club's evolution.
It has been claimed that, Ferran and Txiki were not brorght in (as the presently writing moron, and few others, dared to foreseen in advance while recognizing the weakness of the Club structure), as natural complement of the Club's aim to evolve towards perfection, in order to:
a) take some burden off Khaldoon's duty and let him focus on attending the couple of hundreds of shareholders and board meetings he has to attend, on yearly basis, in undertaking is major duty of ADUG's financial caretaker and investor. [in fact, I am still waiting to be gifted a replica of the ubiquity machine, that he was using along last years in order to make Marwood's job, while undertaking in the meantime his major duties of seating into hundreds of listed companies on behalf of ADUG!]
b) solve, with their established professionalism, the reminder of the Club's weaknesses, organization and executive wise;
c) help, assist and conseil the manager in order to devise and realize a better and stronger side, which in turn shall boost the Club's revenue and Brand.
NOT. Instead, they have been brought in order to marginalize the manager tasks and duties and downgrade them to just keeping the players' muscles warm and trained, while They will be devising - from now on - the style of play, the players acquisitions, maybe even the tactics to be applied to games, possibly upon dictation of the sole non professional amateur still existing at the Club (now factually marginalized to general executive duties on the building of the ALL IMPORTANCE project of the Academy: btw, guess where the clown will be when the executive tasks of that building will be ended?).
This massive failure of logic is entirely based on the assumption that this two excellent professionals grown their experience and reputation by building the "Barca System", which they were called to devise, established and developed it, in first place and applying the use and services of two different managers to the effect of coach only.
In facts and to the contrary, at City, the almost almighty Owner and his managing brain, the Chairman, selected and chased - in first place - a manager with an established reputation of building teams from the foundations, while reshaping the sporting related weaknesses at the Club (feeding, medical, physio, training methods, etc,). Now, when the manager have took the Club to the level he was hired for, a further, consequent, implementation: a top professional CEO, whose experience and qualification is more football allround than the almost marketing oriented one of Cookie and a top professional sporting director, featuring established relationship with top Clubs and agents: both of them will certainly benefit, suggest and drive the manager on how to improve his mistakes and performances, while optimising the use of the Owner's money with utmost professional effectiveness.
I think this is just what Mancini has been claimed for the last two years and nothing different from the original master plan by Mansur and Khaldoon.
