West Ham referee is....

Postby bobby brows » Mon Oct 29, 2012 11:54 pm

...Howard Webb! Taggart has recalled him to ref against us on Sat as Clattenberg has been withdrawn from games until he's been investigated.

I doubt this will bother FIFA, they'll prob make him head referee!

West ham away tickets needed

I don't mind Webb, i know he's the butt of a few jokes but think he's a good ref really. Tough game for us at West Ham, they'll be well up for it and have improved a lot under Allardayce. We'll have Milner back alongside Barry in midfield, still lots of injuries though.

I think he is a very good referee unless he is reffing united. I hope he and his linesmen get everything right and we can talk about football for a change.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

100 % agree.
I'd add that he's one of the very few who pays more attention to his reputation and ego than to Taggart's wishes. Hence when under the major spotlights he is always shy of making major services to the master.
After having seen the comeback of Mike Oliver at Taggart's, last season, I'll take Howie for every deciding game for us: granted it will be televised live worldwide... ;)

5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

I don't mind Webb at all, from what I've seen of him.

As above, his United decisions precede him, but I can't remember any direct inequity in a City game. Much better than Clattenburg, Foy or Attwell.

IMO, these days Webbis more just pro-scum than 'anti-CITY.

He has made his way to the top of his profession through past glories in favouring the scum and received all the kudos that attracts.

Now he is at the top I see him being a little less obvious and indeed even-handed when reffing us - of course he will still never cross taggert

(hope I do not regret this view come Saturday)

I agree with this apart from the not crossing the Govan piss-can bit. I think he's beyond the ire of sralic these days.
