Agree with this, I thought he was very impressive in the second half. And like I said in the ratings thread, it's his never say die attitude that's one of his best qualities. A lot of players, even at this level, would have a quiet first half without much luck and the head would drop. No chance of that happening with Shaun, he'll keep plugging away until the final whistle, and consequently, today that character played a huge part in turning the game in our favour.
There's much talk about his crossing, as I recall that was never Shaunie's strong point. He'll skip past defenders, run with the ball for miles, tackle, track back, shoot from distance and link-up with other forwards...as far as I can see he's doing those things quite well at the moment. Before he left for Chelsea he was the icon that he was because he was surrounded by rubbish. He was our one bright spark. When playing with a better class of players as he's doing now, he's never going to look as good...but that doesn't mean he's rubbish or even in rubbish form. Last two games- one goal, one assist. That'll do for me.
