VIenna is seeing the first blue sky in weeks. I have a good feeling.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

If you're starting these 'official' match threads some info about the teams would be nice on here. Any idea who's in and who's out for each side, form going into the match, etc?

At the moment it's a useless thread. Just saying.

Maybe you could have added something to this thread?

So, Joleon, Micah, Silva, Milner and Kolo are out for this game.

good thing we have pablo back, Javi Garcia ready to step in if needed.

Id use:

Hart
Pablo, VK, Nasty, Clichy
Barry, Yaya, Nasri, Tevez
Kun, Mario

Maybe, get Javi in along side Barry and push Yaya forward with Mario benched.

They will probably play counter attack, so Kolarov on the bench for this one.

Due to the injuries that should be it, although kolarov might come in for mario.
Lets hope we take the bull by the horns and get our game going.

I'd start the same team as Saturday. Seems to be too much tinkering going on at the moment

I'm not sure about his tinkering either but to be fair a lot of it is being brought on by injuries, form etc. I'll be glad when we see a side that we can say is the best.

Anybody got Bobby's rant at the press from yesterday? Have only read it so would like to see his reaction.

Mate, whilst I am totally confident about our league season, I am totally melancholic about our Chumps league prospects. I think we'll fail next season as well. Mancini can get things as right or as long as he likes, but the players themselves are panicking during games. They are giving up possession at times when it is imperative to keep it. The Real Madrid game was a prime example of our naivety. Right after we scored. Rather than maintain possession and slow play down, we gave up both the ball and goals.

I'm comfortable with this. I'm patient about this. It took bacon about 14 years to win the Chumps League. I have no doubt we'll do it earlier than that.

On one hand, it is hard not to "tinker" when you are losing players to injury so regularly. Even in the warm-up. It happens. You just have to do the best you can with what you've got.

On the other, it might actually do Mancini good to have the team pick itself for a bit.

On the whole I agree with you: I'd keep it as it is. They played alright on Saturday. On second thoughts, maybe I'd leave Dzeko out and perhaps put Garcia in for him and move Yaya forward.

See how easy it is to tinker? ;-)
