You're not wrong. We definitely need a player who will grab the players by the scruff of the neck during matches. Yaya did it towards the end of last season but so far hasn't cared.

I hate to say it; but if we had a Roy Keane bollocking players we wouldn't get half arsed performances!

That's exactly what I'm saying too, & more importantly he would lead by example (apart from getting sent off) but where is this player ?

Have you seen such a player anywhere ?

The only one I've seen that fits the bill, is DeRossi.

Apart from DeRossi I genuinely can't think of anyone else!

I agree with you two, we need a reliable leader in our midfield. With risk of turning this into a love-fest I would also love it if DeRossi came here, but I do think there are other players out there. I wouldn't know though because I don't watch that much football besides City.

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I watch quite a lot of it & not only do I struggle to find players like DeRossi, I struggle to find players in any position who would greatly improve City's squad. There are lots of 'maybe's but only a handful of definites & those are either unattainable or very very expensive. Most of the players who play a decent game or two v City, get threads on the net with scores of City fans saying 'sign him' but when you watch most of them, they are not doing better in their own leagues than the player they would replace at City is already doing, for City, in the Prem.

The absolute definite, 100% nailed on certainty to improve our squad was Hazard imo. With us, he would be twice the player he is at Chelsea already.

But IF DeRossi is fit enough, I recon he's as close to a 100% certainty to be a success at City as you could possibly get.

Unless he has to change through injuries/suspensions etc., I think Manc needs to get his starting 11 and stick with them. He chops and changes too much. Whether that is for the hell of it, or he is trying to keep everyone happy, or he still doesn't know who his best 11 are, I don't know.
But stick with his best team and let them get used to each other where they practically know what each one is going to do before they do it.
There seems to be too much uncertainty at the minute. It's as if the players don't know what the hell they're supposed to be doing.

What we really need is a good settled team going on a strong run in the league, fuck everything else for now, get a good performance and win over spurs first then just think about the next game.

Hazard is great isn't he. I mean we still have to wait and see if he develops even further. However... His decision making and football intelligence is really excellent considering he's what, 12 (21). Most players at that age are naive in comparison.

Yes, the Champions League performances haven't been good enough and the players and management need to improve but we're still well in the title race and our league performances have been improving recently.

There is no reason to sack the manager now - none whatsoever. Some of the comments on this forum recently have been nothing short of embarrassing.

well, when we struggle to place in the top 4 at the end of this season we shall see what happens with Mancini. i hope I'm wrong.

i'm hoping that mancini fixes it and rights the ship, especially with less to focus on as we drop out of european football, but i just can't see it. yes, 3 months out of the season is a small fraction but in its own light 3 months is a long time and a lot of training to not have adjusted anything.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Oh to be in a shit CL group like Stretford ......

Cruise through against mediocre clubs , rest player upon player whilst doing so ......

Then draw a proper club in the last 16 and get smashed !

City on the otherhand have drawn possibly two of the best clubs in europe right now in Dortmund and Madrid and Ajax have the know how and class to actually win Stretfords crap group ! Stretford meanwhile take all the adulation and plaudits from their media base while most City fans divulge and believe the shit thrown at them from every possible media angle !

Are things really that bad ?

Are they fuck , we are living the dream but some want it to be a nightmare !

Ok the football hasn't always been entertaining and grinding out the odd win but champions have to do that. Also something evidently wring in defence but think that's to do with changes to formation and lack of consistency of pairings. However we ARE second, defeated and two points behind them rag twats so not all is the doom and gloom some posters make out. Change nothing in regards to management, the chaps brought us a fa cup, premiership title and some tin pot plate!

We are City, we always do things the hard way, t'is why I love them so much.

Anyways this tixi bloke should be able to pull the odd star signing to make subtle not wholesale changes.
