Shit Hot or just Shit, nothing in between, I like this fella, but every time he has an awesome game for us he is then shit for the next three, I am expecting another great performance again to give me hope. Frustrating guy has the tools but doesnt always use them.

Very rarely has Dzeko started a game & been exceptional, for City. Ever. He's not been awful in the games he's started, just average. Average is awful in a team of champions though.

Evidence suggests he's a better player coming from the bench. He seems sharper in front of goal when he comes on later in games.

Dzeko was crap tonight but why when we have a 6 foot 4 inch striker do we never put the ball in the box from a crossing position.

Becasue statistically it means we will be giving the ball back to the oposition. Why would you prefer that!?

Every time he gets a chance to start he is shite, lets face it, he's a bench warmer, not good enough to start. So frustrating as he looks brilliant at times, but never when he starts.

I'm sick of this playing to his strengths - Dzeko has scored some very important goals for us, but unless he learns to play well in matches where we need him to do something different ie holding up the ball and linking up with Tevez / Aguero / whoever then he needs to accept that he'll never lose his super sub label at city

I believe that it shows the arrogance of a manager who buys a player who has been top scorer in germany for two seasons, then bombs him into a system that he is not technically good enough to fit into, believing that he is good enough to coach him to playing in that system.

Mancini seemed to twig what dzeko was all about early last season, then again late on when he realised that kolarov swinging balls in late in the game to dzeko was nicking us points and winning us the league

So now we are back to Mancini expecting him to suddenly be a player that dzeko will never be so long as he has a hole in his arse, and to be honest I'm getting more fucked off with Mancini for persisting with this, than I am with dzeko for not suddenly developing into a complete centre forward.

Mancini is in the wrong on this one.

You know what I feel sorry for Dzeko, but it is beginning to get boring now - Edin might well have scored many goals & delivered many points, but he just doesn't seem to do it when he starts & when he doesn't perform we can't afford to carry him - same goes for any player. It's not that I don't want him to achieve, but his performances when he starts do not warrant him starting a match - there's a place for him at the club, but I'm not sure it'll satisfy his desire to start every match

Dzeko is a box player you can't play him as winger or ask him to do a playmaker's job, if he had those easy chances that balotelli got we would have won today.

Love him but he has to go, he can't perform when he starts not because he is not good enough but because you don't leave out Aguero, Tevez and Balotelli to play Dzeko constantly and he needs to constantly play to shine.

I would sell him while we can get a good amount back and have welcome Guidetti into the pack.

This. Though it also begs the question, why wasn't he in Balotelli's postions to do that? him or Mancini?
Also think Mancini is a pussy for not saying to Dzeko "you start = we shit. you sub = you score - we win. Team first, you second. STFU."
City have soul. United do not.

A real threat in the opposition box, sometimes. Really dubious at football all over the rest of the pitch. The ball bounces off him and he simply fails to win headers from long balls and deliver decent flick-ons. As for Balotelli, Mancini indulges him for some unknown reason. I'd be very happy to see both leave and us try for a pair of replacements. Falcao and one other. Lewendowski, perhaps.

Another vital goal scored from the bench, I know he may not be happy about it but it is working, he's brought us back to 2nd and at this rate his supersubbing will win us the league.
