If we do sign Falcao or any forward player of that caliber, they will not come into the club without a big name or two leaving, either beforehand or shortly afterwards.

Imo, although I think Mario has been very good, (& I think he could become better than our other strikers) I don't believe he will enjoy the same protection now that Txiki is at the club. If Soriano & Txiki they think we should cash in, they will make it a condition before releasing transfer funds. Also Dzeko is making it plain in every interview that he wants to start more games. Tevez is still an unknown.

Some fairly established players are going to be shown the door in the next year or so, imo. It's just a matter of which ones.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Tevez offski, as was mentioned above he's coming up to his last year and if we haven't learnt from the Arse saga's then I'll eat my hat. On the other hand maybe the plan is to let Tevez run down his contract, he agrees to knuckle down and play regularly and we let him go back to Argentina?

He won't go to Argentina, he'll be too far away from his family

If a forward of the calibre of Falcao is available then City should be in for him , no question.

Carlos has been a model pro this season , worked his socks off and carried the team on many occasions ..... world class !

Sergio is just finding top form after his injury and absence , possibly the best striker in the prem and again .....world class !

Edin is a mysterious diamond , scores vital important match winning goals from the bench but hardly potent when in the starting line up ........ still top top class !

Mario , well this is / was always going to be his biggest season so far . His attitude is slightly better , endless class and promise but has delivered zilcho so far . Also i have now joined the "he is a huge distraction " club , love him to bits but this is Mario,s time and he is falling short of what he is capable of imho , there is still time however for him to make a positive impact with some much needed goals ...... an entertaining enigma with undoubted class !
Not really here

Good call Sideshow, added to which, I must be one of the very few people still not convinced by Falcao.

I've got sizeable doubts about the quality of his overall play and whether, or not, he'd fit in with our style of football and I don't think he offers us anything radically different to justify the massive fee which would be required.

Mind you, if he did sign for us, I'd love to be made to look stupid for the comments I've just raised.

I think guidetti has been a bit unlucky with the timing of his injuries/sickness, which might contribute as well.

i don't see Mancini ever using anyone from our youth system in the top leagues. his answer is to sign new players.

Guidetti needs another loan spell after his lengthy illness (even if it's just a short loan) - can't really be expecting him to make a first team appearance for us after that long out.

I fully appreciate the "do we really need another" bit, but why not giving a couple of goes to our John, instead.
at very least just for the sake of proving wrong our phips... ,)

nice one, Beefy, what memories of that italian league! think the real falcao would struggle in the Prem, even if he was back at his 25

Arrgghh... I realized there was a new top by Joey, just after I posted that, if I get it right on second guess. I let it more off being on touch and go browsing...

and, yet again, hopefully not. also generally speaking I am naturally against january windows moves, unless You're not a manager of a Club involved in relegation battle. never mind City with our gorgeous supply still to be develop to full potential, imho.
