Never claim to be brave a dangerous.

It's just I am passionate about the club. In the heat of a match people react. Yours is always serving an agenda outside of the success of mcfc.

Our success is my only thought during a game, it's called support.

I think the last post about dzeko was mine about 30 posts back, any chance of this train wreck getting back on track?

Why would you put a train wreck back on the track? Leave it where it is or take it away to be scrapped. Even better, launch an inquiry into how the train came to crash in the first place.

He's a brilliant player to have as a super sub.

Just hope he's happy to stay as a super sub, cos as far as super subs go, he's right up there for my money as best super sub around.

lulz!
think I have been advocated for Edin to come at City and stood by him as my preferential choice ahead of Llorente when the board were discussing best option for CF purchase.
Cannot say he has totally complied with my expectations, particularly re workrate at times, but I stand by my opinion that we have in Dzeko one of, if not the, best CF of his generation. It's up to Bob, with proper man management, gets the better of him, without having to change our main style to follow the myth that a tall CF can only be used as terminal of crosses. Also first touch of a rapist is utter rantish bollox.
Yes Cavani is good, Falcao can be decent as well, but - yet again - don't think that any forwarder/striker could improve dramatically the attacking potential of our front fours, other Lionel Messi. and as much as I love the bloke, I am not even so sure if I would want that dream to come true in Blue, coz it would probally means the closest thing to the infamous "buying success"... and as You teach me, WE ARE NOT RAGS.

Honestly, as for the manager, I see no point in changing for the sake of it. If something works decently, let it works and push on improving, imho.

so back to Your call: nothing to add to my original, unchanged, stance on topic (and on all the other three, too)... ;)

IMO i think the main reason why dzeko is effective coming on as a sub is due to oppo def getting a right shock. The whole game they have been dealing with tevez and aguero who arent the tallest. PLUS our short passing game. All these eased them into a sense of calm as they think that by maintaining shape and not really closing us down can effectively stop us dead. Since we would juz be spraying passes around and not rly threatening. And then...WHAM. Dzeko comes on. Set-pieces suddenly become a threat. They have to start getting tighter. Balls played become more direct. They actually have to make an effort to win aerial balls. They start to completely shit themselves. Compared to dzeko starting...where the def wld find it easier to stay focused and get the better of dzeko since they havent rly gotten into the flow of the game yet and can make changes to stop him.

Good post, but if he starts a game, the defence also havent picked up the pace and flow of the game?

Does Dzeko's success from the bench not just highlight how completely ineffective we are with our high possession style of play most of the time, and how devastating we can be with him being supplied in the right way?

Anyway fuck it, I'm going sticking a fiver on a doubt for united and city both to be losing at half time, win at full time every week for the rest of the season. And another fiver on dzeko last goalscorer

I get some humour there, but cant fail to say that Edin lead the line pretty decently when called up and, should had started, he had banged a hat trick through Maicon feedings aimed to our two lovely dwarfs.
wonder how many pages this thread would have progressed if Dzeko had those rapist's first touches made by Sergio before despatching that clinical penalty
