milner gave away possession over and over. lots of effort but his decision making was often poor.

too many to pick from as everyone was good to excellent! Silva, Nastasic, Kompany, Zabba, Barry and Silva were all terrific! I picked Milner as he was simply awesome!

Zabs for me.

4 people went for Milner ?

I really don't see what he gives to the team other than hard graft, still ......

Was between Zabba and Barry. Barry won it by an arsecheek. Considering teh chances that have fallen to Pablo recently, I would've expected him to have bagged by now. He gets in some great positions and seems more likely to fluff than score. So just cos he missed that chance, Barry for me; otherwise, inseparably good.

I said Vinnie half way through the 2nd half just by playing and confirming he is a hero. No way he should have played based on fitness.

Isn't it a shame that one of our key forwards isn't in the running for MotM today? Almost total domination of the euro champs and yet all we get is a nil nil draw. Beating Wigan is a must now

pablo was immense, but I went for Nasty cause he had a good game and he was close to scoring, and he is a young lad and I thought what the hell ))

gareth was pretty good today, although sometimes he hides from the ball..

Vinnie is back!

I just got back home, havent read all of the match thread, but that yellow card for Mario was pretty wrong. clear foul on him.

good game when all considered. we played very well.

if Chelsea were down to 10 men, or maybe even 9, we would have won ;)

Zabba for me the mans a legend. Never walking anywhere, either bombing forward or running back to defend.

Zaba for me...a tackling machine. What a player.

Shouts for Vinny and Barry are smart as well.

Milner didn't satiate me, and neither forward did either. Yaya was typically brilliant on the ball at times and phenomenally half-arsed at other times. Knackered? Careless? Frustrated? The latter i believe.

Balo and Tevez deserved a lot more time on the pitch today which was somewhat criminal....

GazBaz to me as well: usual engineering brain, with much more energy in his performance than usual, as a bonus.

very pleased with what I saw from Vinnie, despite as someone said elsewhere, not very much pressured, BECAUSE WE BOSSED the midpark. not as some tosser says, because we met up with a shite opposition: if memory serves, we have faced the Europe's Champs, featuring the 2 most dynamic DMs (Mikel and Ramirez) and three luxury playmakers in Hazard, Mata and Oscar. MCFC made CFC look average!

Probably not as effective as he was versus Madrid, but I am quite surprised at seeing that Dave do not grab a vote, also.

Zabba, the regular Cult Hero.

Split vote between Zaba and Kompany. Great to see our defence finding its solidness again, or was it because they were up against shite Torres? :-)
Also, Yaya hasn't shown up this season and we shall be losing him in a months time.

So, apparently, City had been pushed in their own box for most of the game.... LOL!

Mind, I keep saying since two years that we wont go big places until our front row learn to bury chances at first glance, but that
picture defies the biased ability of the bloke from the Telegraph desk....

I can see it from Arjan, who pretends to live on his own private football Mars or, more likely, still runs a sort of bitter widowhood, but Yours usually comes across as a sound, unbiased opinion. whether I may find myself in agreement or not.

i went for barry.

someone else said it as well, used the ball intelligently and with much more energy and urgency to his play today. The overall slow nature of his game has always been one of my major criticisms of his play, and I was very happy to see a change. Looked much handier than yaya.

Barry's speed is never something that has or will prevent him from doing his job. Since he doesn't rely on it he's probably got 4-5 more years in the Prem to run around doing what he does best...knowing where to be in an almost spooky sense of positional awareness. Also he's good for a professional foul and a key handball that doesn't get called every match, both of which break up a key opposition break most often.

Barry's a rugged fucker too...plus he looks like Roger Waters ca. 1973ish, so...there's also that.

cheers

Didn't mean his physical speed, but the speed with which he turns and passes, or passes and moves or just generally plays the ball. Previously, I've just thought that while he does that job of keeping us ticking over, and holding possession, he didn't move the ball forward enough, fast enough. A bit like the way that nasri slows down every attack that passes through him.

vs. Chelsea Barry collected the ball, turned and most times played a good ball that gave us options, or pushed it forward and tried to release someone. I would say that is usually yaya's mandate, but he was missing from this match.

Watching on TV, it was between Milner, Zabbs and Nastasic.

Went for Milner, just because seeing him play in the stadium, I know how much work he does off-screen.
