Other games midweek

Postby Duckman » Tue Nov 27, 2012 9:50 pm

Just finished watching sunderland and qpr, I kind of enjoyed it. Loads of mistakes though but proper tempo.

Danny Rose kind of caught my eye. He played fairly well, although I havent watched him play closely before.
Any thoughts on him? Has anyone been following Rose a bit closer and could share opinion of his game?

I watched Villa v Reading which was a brilliant match. On a separate note I'm looking forward to having all my teeth pulled out next week.

I'm reading this thread and I'm looking backwards to my colonoscopy from 3 weeks ago fondly.

What has happened to Sunderland ? It looks like it's going to be a difficult campaign and O'Neill appeared to have got them really ticking last season.

Don't worry, by this time tomorrow it'll be full of stuff on 'rag refs' or 'rag media'. It'll be really interesting to read then.

Holy crap. Today's slate of games looked mindnumbingly boring. I would never watch QPR unless it was a City match and the same goes for AV who always has the slowest, most boring matches that usually end in a 0-0 draw.

I'm really glad QPR didn't pull out the win though.

22 I believe, homegrown, not to expensive ( transfermarkt says 3 mil oyros, but more like 5 or even 6 maybe)

if we were to sell mista Kola, who would you like to have instead?

Neven Subotic.

And we end up with just one left back? I wouldn't mind if we bought that Subotic lad, should be decent, but he's hardly a replacement for Kolarov. or can he play as left back too?

Do you think Carroll will start to score now or was it a one off?
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I doubt it.

I really fail to understand what possessed Liverpool to pay such a ludicrous sum of money for him.
