The sad thing is, this is our best team, yet Mancini never plays it and don't expect aguero and tevez to start either. Mancini needs sun shining out of her arse mario

Derby nerves?....:-)

Taggart maybe many things but he's not an idiot. He knows what he's got and knows its limitations. His defence is shit and he will need to protect it. All out attack will not be anywhere on his agenda. He knows he has a potent attack in Shrek and Van Penis and the speed out wide to service them.
He will sit back in his parked bus in the hope, (or with the plan) of drawing us in and hitting us on the break.

He sits ahead of us in the league and will be happy to share the points and wander back to the swamp considering a draw is 2pts he's stopped us gaining. The onus is on us to get the points.

With team selection I think what has to be remembered is that we are now coming to the end of a period of 7 games in 23 days, that's equivalent to a game every 3 days. I wonder what we are going to put out against Dortmund but I'd be amazed if it wasn't our strongest side against the Rags.

Balotelli started in the 1-6 just to make a point, so it's not the world's stupidest decision if he starts at weekend.

I have no idea who to pick for this personally, so will just go with whatever Bob decides, as nobody is anywhere near playing full tilt, but I recon we will probably need two goals, as Van Persie will probably score; that is how football tends to work.

I will hate that, so be delighted to be wrong.

On the upside, I expect this is the game where our players will go up a gear & the rest of the season, before & after ceases to count, so the rags have got a big problem next week imo.

I can't help thinking we will win this game. Their defence is utterly fucking laughable and I remember Kompany dealing with RvP in recent games v Arsenal.

Bit of a conundrum. They've been shit in the air recently, as we saw against Reading, so the logical thing would be to start Dzeko and lob a few balls in to him.

With that in mind, I'd start Mario as he is very good in the air but offers more mobility on the deck. Plus it's a big game so he *might* be more up for it than usual.

Start him and Tevez with Kun to come off the bench after 60 or 70 miutes when legs are tiring.

And I wouldn't start Nasri.

I spoke to two of the slightly less obnoxious rags yesterday and they are concerned that we will put a bag full past their creaking defence. It perked me up a bit, because if we arse about like we did against Everton and in many other games, filth will be far more effective on the break than scouse II were on Saturday.
We need to win I feel.

I can't wait for this one. We've got last season's admission by Ferguson that they should have given up at 3-1 in the trafford match, and the lack of shots on goal at the etihad - then match that with our defensive record and their frankly ridiculous gung-ho results (which let's face it have put them above us), I have no idea what the match will be like.

It'll be interesting to see if Vidic is back on Wednesday as predicted - he certainly can't make their defence any worse at the moment, and could be a big plus for them.

I've a feeling that it'll be a cagey affair, with us controlling the possession - but frankly a 6-4 win wouldn't surprise me :)
My Man City quiz book (now in print as well as Kindle) still outselling the rags! I'll be able to afford a Balti pie soon!

I saw highlights of their game & the Face hauled off Raphael, who pushed past the sub, snubbed the Face's handshake & snubbed the kit man, who threw the jacket on the back of his head as he stormed off down the tunnel.

It was worse than anything Balotelli has ever done.

So where is the outcry from the media ? I have looked on their 'Newsnow' page & I can't find any reference to it whatsoever. If this had been a City player, you would not see any headlines other than about Mancini losing the dressing room or 'troubled' players etc.

In fact, I bet there are more articles on that, re City, during this coming week.

The media world clearly loves these wankers.
