Pep or Mou?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The alternative view with just as much evidence to support it is that academies are a waste of time and what you should do is by players in the 21-24 age range, proven but with sell on value.I dont think there is an easy answer to this one.

It's not the first time You express that dream, Ted.
To have Pep in charge of the Accademy (hopefully with no sicknote amateur seat on golden chairs around) would be a dream come true, indeed! It will close a sort of magical ring with all key roles at the Club filled with very tops and that might only lead to the most glorious and sustained success ever experienced by a Football Club in the mid and long term.

But Do You think it might actually ever come true?
When last season Pep made absolutely all he could to show off his sickness at top professional football I happened to wonder at it for a while, but.... can such a successful and smart footballer actually stay off to major challenges timelessly?

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Talking shit mate, why not offer something back. City hardly played like barcelona last season regardless of the start. I just don't see how a midfield of slow Barry and lazy yaya can press hard.

And what is this 'we' bollocks?

Didn't you see how Barry and yaya humiliated United last season? Odd. They did it twice.

I dont mind winning CL for 5-10 years, I just dont wanna suck balls.

Slow progress would be fine. Regardless if we win or get close to the title again I say give him another shot. Would suck if pep went red and was a big hit though:/

No problem signing players in that age range, but every signing is a gamble & at least half of them don't really work out unless you go for 'A' list players. If you create your own players, there is no gamble & you can spend the transfer money on one 'A' list player rather than five 21 year old gambles, because you have filled the other positions for free.

No idea if it could come true, as Pep has never actually said whether he wants to be a manager or not.

HRH could offer him all kinds of incentives though, as academy stuff doesn't come under FFP.

No, you're talking shit rag boy.

Barcelona was exactly who we were getting compared to at the start of last season. Record breaking goal scoring, free flowing, possession football.

Even when the flow was pulled back, mainly due to red cards, suspensions and general knock to the confidence from some extremely questionable officiating over the course of 3 or 4 months; it is widely accepted that the main reason "we" are the reigning champions of england is because of the very midfield you are trying to diss.

So, it's you who is clearly talking shit.

Now fuck off back to red cafe or whatever other shitbox forum your type like to pretend be a fan of and concentrate on disecting your own midfield of cleverly and carrick.

Rag bastard.

Why the fuck would anybody else at the club decide to spend a small fortune on players ? Can you give one possible reason of how anybody at the club other than Mancini can gain anything from doing that ? Marwood for instance. He signs a bunch of players, Mancini doesn't use them, who would Khaldoon blame for City spunking millions on players the manager doesn't want ? Would Mancini just accept it & say nowt ? WOULD HE FUCK. He would make sure every person in the world knew that they were not his players.

He's moaning now about us not having a chief exec at the time; so now Marwood's gone, it's the fault of the other poor cunt, that Mancini's signings haven't added anything to the squad in half a season.

Mancini had the choice; he could have saved the money til Soriano arrived. HE chose to spend it. Imo, he was largely right but he should stop bullshitting & admit it.

Mancini wasn't complaining, he said that we dodn't get some of our targets due not having the figure head in place. Cook was pivotal to selling City to some of our higher end buys, without him we lost a few of our targets. Mancini also said it's in the past and we can do nothing about that, we move on.

Nothing really to be said about it unless there is an angle. I don't even think the media have reported this in a bad way so I'm not too sure about your angst there Ted.

Well.
I deffo need sometime to put me on track either at office and on forum debates... ;-)
Upon a fast check on this topic, I confirm my opinion is on par with Ted's.
cant recall if on this thread or elsewhere but I've already stated my opinion that Mancini SHOULD have waited for Soriano/Berguistein and saved a considerable amount of Club's money, calling the bluff and sticking with some youngster development.
His reputation and his claims about a Team not yet ready for the European Top would have took much benefit.

As I have said his pursuit of De Rossi could be a tipping point. No other club is gonna be in the running at 20 plus mill and I doubt Soriano would be willing to make that the first cheque he writes.
