bang fucking on. Despite losing I absolutely loved the drama at the end. I was pissed off, I wanted a rag to have a go at me so I could kill him, and I was loving it. This is life at the top table and I love it.
Make no mistake, this will galvanise the squad and we are going to piss this league.

When the final goal went in yesterday, I was gutted. The wonderful Kath was forced to watch helplessly as I jumped up and down in anger, waved my arms about and subjected her eardrums to a torrent of abusive and quite violent verbal outpouring. She understands me...I think, she said nowt, went into the kitchen and made me a brew and rolled me a cig. Ta Kath.
Now, I really couldn't give a flying fucl about the result. It changed nothing whatsoever and I don't even think it will be crucial in decided how many points we win the League by.
Some years ago, we were shit, we were a million miles away from being anywhere near their level, but every so often we'd win or nick the odd derby result. We gave them shit for a week or two but usually had to watch them disappear over the horizon at the top whilst we struggled near the bottom. The derby result was a mere passing flicker of triumph that lasted fo not long enough.
Yesterday was just like that except the colours have swapped. The FA Cup semi and us winning the final, the 6-1and both league derbies last season, followed by us winning the title (their title...hahahahaha), saw us firmly take control. Even when our 10 men lost in the Cup, we were the ones who left the ground with pride and they, with only relief they'd managed to escape a battering.
Never in the 50+ years of watching derbies have I witnessed a rag team ever set up primarily to avoid defeat out of fear, as Taggart has set them up in the last 2 at the Etihad. That says loads about Taggart knowing he is the underdog (never in his lifetime hahaha)
Like years gone by, yesterday's result will be well forgotten in a few days and NORMAL SERVICE WILL BE RESUMED), except it is the rags who will be forced to squirm as we gallop off to glory and they struggle to keep their credibility together. We lost the game but we were the better team (again). We know it but more importantly...so do they

I wish I had your confidence and belief John ( it is real isn't it?) Whilst I can't say I don't care about the result I do share some of the overall feelings even if I don't feel confident this year that we will "gallop off to glory" this season.
I do think we were the better team and are the better team and that game and possibly this season will just be a blip and a stumble along the way.We are where we are this season without playing very well most of the time and there are questions, justifiable questions being raised about the way we are playing in games and the squad we have.A few tweaks here and there and 1 or 2 quality additions on January should see us right but the immediate future is important.
The next few games are massively critical ( I know they all are) to show our mettle and stay in touch or even close the gap by 2013. I hope Mancini still has the full changing room with him and he needs to pick the best team available and win a few in a row.
