and hate it that he wants to be everyones mister nice guy! all the great keepers in the past are all fucking assholes but that made them the best. we don't need a keeper helping players up of the ground and stepping in etc. we need a keeper that concentrates on his own game!!

That's a load of bollox mate and you know it. He is going through a dip in form at the moment and possibly needs more competition for his place to ward off any complacency that may be creeping into his game. He has the potential to be great and has shown this in his performances last season and in some of his performances this season.

I hope surly tongue in cheek there pal?. Ms rural has just said they are all there together but so Fucking what. Means nothing.

There will be many times in the rest of this season where Joe will save us big time and hope he gets a thread backing the lad when he does.

Carl you know I love you pal but honest to God sometimes you post the most ridiculous things post match.

Joe hart is one of the greatest goalkeepers in the world. You do not drop your no1.

In the same vain, it is widely known that teams never win titles without a fixed no1.

We'll win the title and Joe Hart will be our no1.

Calm the fuck down.

Read an article by tony coton today, was saying that he needs more pressure on him to push him to keep up that number one mentality. Panty doesnt fill me with confidence to do that.

Its the old thing Isnt it, if a striker misses a chance its just a missed chance. Yet if a keeper drops a bollock then it can cost a team. Things may have been diffrrent if he tried to gey down for the first goal but he didnt react quick enough and cost us.

Back next week and hopefully stop a few from Ba.

Normally I'm all over Carl for this shit, but even next morning after sleeping on it I think joe was fucking awful yesterday and in parts this season.

Wrong footed, he could have been in the wrong stadium and still walked over and stopped the 1st. He's acting like a cocky fuck and in addition to the stupid coming out to have a kick, another game this season with every shot on target going in.

Seeing it live , I thought perhaps Joe didn't try with the first one because he was to far away & didn't think he have a chance.Having seen a replay several times :-
i) I don't think Shrek mis-hit it - it looked like a clean enough shot.
ii) Joe COURL have got to it - he wasn't in too bad a position

Having seen a replay from BEHIND the goal , I think it spun and turned a bit off the pitch - Joe thought ( and, admittedly , I thought when Shrek hit it) "It's going wide , leave it."

People like Banks, Shilton, Jennings , Maier, Corrigan etc. would have got across and stopped that.
That is the standard Joe has to aim for.

After puking my guts up most of the night Im back to earth with a thud and just re read what I wrote.

Ill stand by every word - there are some posters on here that really should wake up and smell the roses, so quick to jump on my back over what I called a shocking poor display from Hart.

Maybe you should write to Mancini and tell him hes talking shit as well hey!

Mancini tore into keeper Joe Hart saying, “It’s your fault” as City’s unbeaten Premier League record was ended dramatically.

I think just about every goalkeeper in the PL would have made an effort to get to it. It was the softest shot this season and England's No1 stood on his line looking at it. I think it was a pathetic non-effort by Joe and the blame is squarely at his feet on this one. Too many dubious goals have gone passed him this season, but he's young and talented and is as good as there is in this contry.

Spot on , also the wall is his responsibility as well , I saw fuckall shouting from him to make it 4 people in the wall ffs !

Im sure that on reflection some of you that sneered at this thread yesterday will take stock and realize that Hart was just plain SHIT yesterday.

out of all 3 goals let in ... i'd say only the last one was not stoppable. The first 2 Joe himself could have done much better ... He could have strolled over and picked up the first one without a care in the world. The second was tougher, and he had kolo diving in front of him, but not physically out of his reach.

Of course, even though I don't think any goalie could have reached the final goal, it took Nasri, Joe and Tevez conspiring together to make that come to fruition.

A very poor game by his own high standards. Hope someone gives him a slap and he gets back on track.

Also about hanging out with Rio and RVP afterwards, obviously i don't have any idea what it is like to be a pro footballer, but after an intense game ending in a loss, I can barely manage to look at my own teammates, let alone the opponent that scored the winner and his pet camel.

http://mcfc.co.uk/citytv/Match-highlights/2010/September/City-v-Chelsea-extended

Well here's another example of the same type of situation as the first goal yesterday, about 5,45 into the video. Tevez gets lose, is directing his body and his movement towards the right post. Then he manages to get a shot away in the complete opposite direction of what everyone's thinking he's going to do and as you can see, Cech bends down a bit but can't really do anything as he's on his heels, moving in the opposite direction.

It looks easy enough to just react to that type of shot but IMO the keeper is preparing for another type of shot or movement. The fact that Rooney could score that goal yesterday, and Tevez towards Chelsea two years ago, is because both of them are really really really good at what they do. They are the type of striker that will bail out a scared or clueless manager. IMO United did not have much yesterday, Ferguson's "plan" really didn't work but they had Rooney and that was, sadly enough, enough to win the game.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

The thing that really fucking annoys me (and it's not just happened to Joe yesterday) is how keepers alway seem to take a step towards the side of the goal that is being covered by the wall and therefore bollocksing up their momentum when said free kick goes whistling past them in the area that they should be covering effectively. If the ball goes over the wall and ends up in the top corner then there is little that you can do about that but I do think it is fairly unforgiveable to concede like we did yesterday.

mate that goal is totally different to the one rooney scored, the pace on the 2 are worlds apart AND Cech was widely (and rightly) criticized for letting that goal in at the time.

Hart had a poor game, for someone who (i assume) has ambition to be the best in the world (some would have put cech up there at one point), you've got to be saving that. IMO, Cech pre-head injury saves tevez's shot comfortably, and that's what Joe needs to be doing to all but the best shots. You don't see gk's like buffon or casillas letting in many like that. That's what Joe has the potential to become, and if he's going to reach it, he can't just be shrugging off goals like that saying "oh well!" Totally unacceptable.

Regardless of whether he's to blame or not, I think we can both agree that Hart won't accept letting in any goal what so ever. I also think that one of his strengths is that he learns from his mistakes and seldom repeats them.

He'll be fuming, as he was, for letting in each and one of those goals and if I'm wrong and you actually can blame him for them, then he'll learn. Don't you think?

Joe set up the wall and got done on his side 100% due to Nasri being a shithouse and hiding behind the wall, he stands his ground we draw and what a comeback he failed to do that and Mancini blames Joe, something not right there. Mancini has to shut up for me.

Joe should have had 4 in the wall...the wall is the keepers responsibility so its his fuckign fault,
Mancini is well within his rights to slag off his players as long as its jutsified.
