No fucking way.

Throwing shit is wrong. Should be punishable by a ban. As should inciting the crowd.

In a moment like that, some rag player running over to tell you who own manchester is the equivelant of being spat at imo.

Provockation in its truest form. I was always told that if i go around sticking my face where it didnt't belong, it will get slapped. Simple as.

Ban throwers and ban inciters.

Personally, I think its a shame that its the most talented throwers that get banned. The ones that manage to connect. The ones that aren't very good at it get to do it every week.

I can only think of three cases like this off the top of my head... Gary neville, adebayor v arse and rio today.

Each one demands retaliation. As does all good provokation.

The police have confirmed that a drugs test was also thrown at Rio but he somehow managed to avoid it.

I can't believe anyone can blame Joe for any of the goals - maybe the free kick but ONLY because of his organisation of the wall, not the execution of his dive as the deflection was the killer aspect there...

If the pitch invaders were allowed to continue, we'd end up penned in behind fences again. Amazing that some think a player celebrating a goal gives them the right to go on the pitch. If QPR fans thought like that, they're be no bugger left in the stands.

Honestly, the minute a fan crosses the white line then what happens to them is fair game. Same if a player goes into the crowd. I recall a Burnley player kicking the shit out of one of his own fans that ran on to attach Robbie Savage when he was at Blackburn.

Dick head!
The only thing wio wastes are the drugs he sniffs

Out of interest when you next down for a City match? Would love to meet up with you?

Charming.

Are you honestly telling me that you dont think a fit pro footballer wouldnt have wasted this scrawny git.

I can't stand the thick as shit Snoop wannabe, but if he'd have got to that little scrote he'd have kicked the shit out of him, and he'd have deserved it. A 30-odd year-old, six-foot-odd professional athlete and a little, pissed up 19 year-old scrote. I know who my money would be on.

Anyone claiming otherwise is either extremely stupid or a rancid little deluded scrote themselves.

Why are you defending him? First, he's embarrassed the club in a game being watched the world over. Second, I'm 100% certain that none of you would stoop so low yourselves.

Let's be clear, Rio is a horrible ballsack of a man, but running on the pitch and throwing coins are knobheaded things to do.

Meh, I've no doubt that City and United players are mates off the pitch. Sure they probably room together or close enough to that on international duty.

Doesn't bother me either, not one bit, as long as they're full-blooded on the pitch. Which they are/were.

How do you stop Wio Turdinand celebrating in front of opposition fans? Throw a coin at his head.

Unless you're willing to throw a coin or run on the pitch yourself, then condoning either thing on here is completely disingenuous. And if you are willing to throw coins or run on the pitch to 'attack' a player, you're a complete twat.

Take your pick.

In a match like this, clearly the tempers flare up and I'm glad to see we have a rivalry like this, as there's no experience like it.

Wio was a knob for inciting the crowd, but don't pretend to be innocent, you know he was the target of abuse and in the end he laughed last and he who laughs last laughs best. He returned the favour and some cunts couldn't handle it, so they turned to violence.

If you throw sticks, you should be prepared to receive them back. Clearly some of us are made of glass. I do not fault Wio. It's all down to those who threw coins and ran on the pitch.

We'll get them at the swamp. This was a setback. The record was fun whilst it lasted, but it did fuck all for us in Europe, so in the end it didn't matter.

After losing the derby, it's understandable to be annoyed at the fraternity that may exist between ours and scum's players. Realistically though, it's two sets of players from two big clubs in the same city. They're bound to know each other socailly, even if we'd rather not see them rubbing shoulders straight after that game.

We as fans, have to put up with a lot of grief from any reds we know, and Joe and any other City players will probably get stick from United players, just as it would be the other way round. Hardly worth getting our knickers in a twist about.

Didn't Mike Summerbee and George Best used to knock about together round town all the time in their pomp, and from what I gather, this didn't appear to dampen Buzzer's passion for City? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Take it from that you have no rag mates? And would never have them? Or do you have them and just avoid them if we lose a derby?

Had text conversations with a rag mate before and during the game and a long conversation with him about the game last night. He even convinced me to watch MOTD to see we weren't as bad as I thought we were. I'd have spoken to him win, lose or draw and although last season's conversations were more fun, why would I avoid him?

As for City players hanging out with rag players, what do you expect? They're multi-millionaires being invited to events as VIPs. Or did you expect him to go for a pint with the idiot off the pitch (and I don't mean Wio)

I hate Rio as much as any of you, but frankly I cannot blame him for celebrating like he did. His team just beat their biggest rivlas in dramatic fashion, and after a brillant and hard fought match. Let's hate him for all he stands for, but he should not be attacked for celebrating. Any of us in his shoes would have acted as such in the heat of the battle.

I am certain if this had been Balotelli not many of us would have been bothered, if it had been Tevez even less, and if it had be Kompany no one would be saying a word.

That said, the response of the fans in question is disgusting. Joe did what any classy player would, and to some extent so did Tevez.
