I cant believe if reports are true we turned down 40 millions off PSG.

I'm losing patience with him at an alarming rate.

Why can't he put in the kind of disciplined performance that won him the MOM award in the 2011 FACF every week? He's 18 months older now but seems no more mature on the pitch.

'Mercurial' players have had their day. The game is so intense these days that you need full physical and mental commitment from everyone.

I can't wait to have Milner and Richards back in the fold.

I'd like to see us move him on in Jan and go all out for a top striker but that's gonna happen in that window. Falcao will most likely leave athletico next summer as opposed to now, while they are well in with a shout of champions league qualification.

Shame, because I think if it was possible to swap mario for falcao and get someone like de rossi in we would win the league for sure.

its not just because of the media attention and focus on him that people here are on his back. balotelli has only got himself to blame he himself has created all the media attention and controversy. did the fans set his house on fire? or do any of the other stupid attention seeking stuff he does.
Dont blame the media, its not the medias fault, they just love the village clown that balotelli is. Nothing to do with media, Nasri is proof of this. Every week there are people on here complaining about Nasri performances yet there is little about him in the media.

There is no doubting marios ability, hes got it but just cant apply himself.

Balotelli has brought his own troubles on himself mancini has been very patient with him, but its time to replace him with a professional footballer, someone who plays for the team. We just don't need the sideshow.

Difficult to remember, but I'd go back as far as the Cup Final.

I'm with a few on this thread, he's crap. His stock falls by the week and Dazby's suggestion that he will be a start at his next club is wildly optimisitic for Mario, in my opinion. I think he'll go on the be an even bigger waste.

Mario has failed at City, We have had cameo's sure. Le Fondre, Benteke, Crouch have tormented Ferdinand recently, My brother a rag summed it up better than a million posts, That was Rio's best game for 12 months.

[quote="Ted Hughes"]I criticised him last season for certain things he did in one particular game, & dared to suggest that it was stuff he needed to work on or fail, & was subject to an outcry by (sometimes reasonable discussion) but often utter fucking, clueless, cheerleading, fucking cretins, attributing motives to my honest opinion of the bloke, as if I was judging him by some kind of anti-Mario bias & totally failling to have any kind of rational opinion. I don't mind any kind of disagreement, but people, wrongly attributing my motives for an honest opinion, does my fucking head in.

Well here's another one; Mario, 1st half, did pretty much everything I have been asking of a big striker to do in a partnership & Aguero was fucking clueless, greedy & generally played at a sub standard level whilst alongside, thus made Mario look a twat, for giving him the ball & expecting a similar response. This won't be the general opinion of media, football experts etc, because Mario tried a backheel 2nd half that didn't come off & therefore is just a cunt, but I don't fucking care, I want to be on record saying: I recon he did well.

Tevez came on & was better than both, & also had the advantage that Aguero actually wanted to try to pass to him as soon as possible.

I don't give a fuck whether Balotelli lasts through the transfer window, in fact I think it's probably best he doesn't & Ican understand kneejerk reactions from fans after this disappointment, however, I find Mancini's public slagging of the bloke, utterly disrepuatable & I think, once again, that it is n example of Mancini hanging a colleague to protect his own arse.

Great manager, to a point. Utter self centered, Machiavellian, arsehole of a bloke.

Balotelli is not being helped by him, he needs to get away from him.[/quo

I fully agree with what you're saying Ted. I think Balo played reasonably well and didn't do much wrong. I also think that Mancini almost set him up to fail by starting him when the consensus was that Tevez was the best choice to partner Kun in this match. And then to pull him off when his back pass failed was utter madness and disrespect. If anything he should have been left on with Nasri exiting for Tevez . We were still trailing by 2 goals, so where is the sense in pulling out a striker.

who scored all there goals last year when Tevez was in Argentina playing Golf? When Edin Dzeko's form was terrible. It was Mario who was getting on the score sheet. Who scored the brace in the 6-1 drubbing in the derby? Who scored the 2nd goal vs Sunderland last year when they were down 3-1 with 5 mins left? And restored hope and got the tie! Without Mario City wouldve never won the title last year! Mario needs to be played centrally with Mancini. he dosent play well when he is partnered up. Look at the Euros vs Germany. King Kev ur just a scum fan who dosent know anything about skill or tactics. Ur a United fan in disguise. SCUM.

I've been saying that about King Kev, owner of the site, and friend for the past 10 years. He's such a United fan in disguise. Thank goodness you've snuffed him out.

No knee jerk from me but whatever his potential, for whatever reason and whoever's fault, Mario has failed to do what he is paid to do often enough.
He is paid to hurt teams and over a long period of time he hasn't done so as regularly as necessary at the level we are trying to operate.
The same also applies to Dzeko. It isn't good for us and certainly no good for them. We could to with a bit of cach inflow to help the FFP deficit. Fog them both, buy a decent replacement and promote Guidetti!

I would also be looking to offload Nasri. I think he;s a decent player but is victim of having to work with the likes of Silva, Aguero and Tevez who are all players who bizz about and take the space Nasri would like to operate in.

I would be quite happy to see us rejig the middle a little bit by slotting Milner into the available place. We could even give Rodwell an odd game against lower opposition or in safe games. Despite his failing so far, it is far too early to write the the kid off.

Hmmm sat him up to fail! Not sure about that or at least I really hope he didn't.That's not what good managers do is it?

On the point of "he didn't do much wrong" I sort of agree with that but would ask did he do much right that had any significance.. Funny that I remember that ball he laid back to Barry at the edge of the box which Gareth misshit wide.

That was actually a good little lay off but the seconds leading up to it were funny.. I can't remember who played it to Mario (probably Silva) but as he was coming towards the box Mario wasn't looking and I don't think he realised the ball was even in play! He woke up just in time.

If he'd been playing alongside a striker interested in playing with him, someone like Cole or Shearer, imo, he would have been still on the pitch at 90 mins. Aguero stunk the place out & did next to fuck all. And got away with it. As did Nastasic at the back, who was fucking hopeless for both goals, & Hart who cost us the game.

All we hear is Balotelli. It's bullshit.

Patience has run out with this guy. We've put up with a lot of shit from him, the most worrying element being his unsettling of the squad. It seems the plan was we'd have to put up with some eccentricity but that he had the potential to become very, very good. We haven't seen near enough evidence of this at all imho.

Sorry Mario but I'd take £15/20 million in a heartbeat.
