His team just beat their biggest rivlas in dramatic fashion, and after a brillant and hard fought match. Let's hate him for all he stands for, but he should not be attacked for celebrating. Any of us in his shoes would have acted as such in the heat of the battle.

I am certain if this had been Balotelli not many of us would have been bothered, if it had been Tevez even less, and if it had be Kompany no one would be saying a word.

That said, the response of the fans in question is disgusting. Joe did what any classy player would, and to some extent so did Tevez.

The difference is our players, esp Kompany, have too much class to celebrate in front of their fans

not sure that's the way I remember his celebration of his goal at the last home derby.
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Take your pick.

Not really 100% sure what disingenuous means but I'll heed a guess that its similar to hypocrite and basically just not genuine? Anyway I must be it and also realise I must also be immature but I found it amusing. I hate the man end of.

then you must remember him pushing Rio out of the way to run arms and knees pumping across the front of the south stand to get to that corner

Exactly.

Fuck sake alex, if you are counting rio celebrating in front of our fans to kompany celebrating on his way to his own fans, in OUR ground then you need to give it a wobble.

Inciting.

People do the strangest things in the heat of the moment, especially when provoked.

How many players have done this on purpose? What kind of character were they?

Aggression, incitement. Proper professionals don't do it.

Proper people don't do it.

This^. I sit in 110 and he ran straight towards the corner fag without one side wise glance at the rags fans. A truly iconic moment IMO.

I've never met him. Is he like the Helen "the bell" Turner of the Eastlands era? Nice to see Kompany acknowledging his loyal support.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
