That's all he needs mate. And a run of games. In and out isn't helping him get used to the prem

None will be more pleased than me to be proven WRONG!
think he ain't got pace and quick reaction for the suffocating pressing of the premiership's midparks

Credit for the all important score, anyway

Garcia till struggling imo, but getting better. He seems to actually reach a decent pace once he starts running but lacks acceleration.

That was the real City going forward; players close together passing and moving. Pity Nasri went off, he looked great around their box. That was really like last season's City up front though, wonderful to see them hit that level just in time.

In contrast, at the back, both centre backs have been absolutely fucking terrible. Barely won a single 50/50 between the
m & leaving their men umarked at almost every attack. Truly horrible defending. Zabba on the other hand is showing them how it's done.

Every single ball Newcastle put into our box is a potential goal though. Need to keep scoring.

We're 2 goals up. I'd like to see Lescott on early in the 2nd half to help in this dept.

What a nice first half. It's quite clear what the Toon's intentions are, get a freekick in their half and lob the ball in. If that doesn't work, try and try again. A lot of teams are now using this and the quick closing down of our players to good effect but on todays showing we can clearly see that we've got a little wiser and are covering the areas well.

Again, our oppo come out of the blocks flying, but what can you say about some of our play when we got the ball; just excellent. Yaya's touch and distribution is a joy to watch and Nasri has shown that he is a very good footballer. The inter-change with our front players is sometimes breath-taking and the steam that Zab's always brings to the game makes sure that the oppo are always on the back foot.

I think we'll see a change of tactic from Pardew in the second and they'll actually try to play football. We, on the other hand, need to stay focused at the back and allow the front players to do their thing.

Enjoying this, let's keep it up City.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Why is Joe kicking the ball forward every time he catches it. We have no one up front to receive it and they're all going to Newcastle. Keep it on the floor where we play better.

Real shame for Nasri, he looked bloody great today.

This is actually the first game I have enjoyed watching us this season....not perfect but a lot like the City we know is in there

Agreed Ted, even if probably a tad harsh with the CBs. Geordies fitness at aerials are little surprise.

I didnt fail to remember how long You saw when commenting Garcia headers at Stoke.

Still we MUST learn to score with the same accuracy of Top sides, which sadly include the Munich survivors, as we sourly realized last week.

Horrible defending. Didn't we learn from the exact same scenario a few minutes back?

Coloccini with a ridiculous overhead kick back into the danger area... =\

Oddly, since Nasri went off we haven't done much going forward.

Not too big of a surprise when he's replaced by Kolarov. High paced passing football isn't really his thing...

We were talking about this game, though, and he was quality until his injury.
