Man Of The Match v Newcastle

Postby King Kev » Sat Dec 15, 2012 3:14 pm

I thought Kolo had a good game today but was surprised that he was given Man Of The Match.

My vote goes to Zabaleta, a warrior-like performance from the honorary Manc today.

I vote Zabba every week, so I thought I should give someone else the honour for once: David Silva.

Zabaleta, Yaya and Silva all impressed but the front two were a threat throughout and helped get us out whenever Newcastle started to build a bit of pressure. I'm going for Carlos 'Tavez' Tevez. He worked his bollocks off from back to front.

I voted for Yaya , his goal was crucial . Great work rate and class today from the big man.

Zab never ever gives less than 120% to our cause , he is truely immense week in week out.

Sergio was also outstanding, for a striker his workrate and movement off the ball today was superb.

Several very hot performances, in terms of desire.
Probably Pablo_the_Blue_Oyster_Cult would deserve it overall, but I go for Dave cuz having him back means too much for City.
When You see Silva tackling that way on iron-man Tiote You must be sure happy days are coming, cuz it's fit and full of desire!

also Joe deserve mention at least for some great things shown in the first half

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

I went for Zab but I thought there were great performances across the team today.

Silva was excellent, as was Yaya - showing what he's capable of! Why he doesn't do that more often I'll never know!!! Nasri was playing well until he went off, and Tevez had a great game too, although he seemed to tire later on.

Kolo and Nastasic had tough opponents and had some tricky moments but overall did very well. Plus Hart pulled off some great saves.

Garcia was much better today too. By no means was he excellent, but he worked hard today and I'm pleased he grabbed a goal too. Hopefully that boosts his confidence.

There were two for me today that bookended the game. Nasri in the first half and Lescott in the second.

Bookended the game hmmmm. Ok then, but Zaba for me. He didn't get everything he did right and although he totally bottled up Gutierez but then struggled when confronted by Santon for some reason but overall I thought he was excellent. So pleased he got the assist for the 3rd , we really needed that.

I thought that Joe Hart had a good game, especially because of the nature of their attack. Nasri would have had a shout if he'd stayed on but overall I'd have to go with Zabba. He's everywhere isn't he.

PS. Little shout out for Lescott. He seemed to calm things down at the back and from those last 15 minutes it looked like he should've started.

Voted zaba, I liked what I saw from Nasri. so unlucky for the injury. Kolarov ruined the momentum we had.

Yaya, Silva, Aguero, Gael and Joe did very well.

Džeko has lost it.

In the first half, Zabba was often the only defender who was actually doing any defending; the others may as well have been forwards stood about doing fuck all. He dropped a few bollocks himself, but also laid on a goal & but for shite positioning by Aguero, would have laid on at least two.

Hero.

Nasri for me. Started us off brilliantly and got us ahead.
I could've gone for Yaya too though.
