Half hearted try I would say. Payback for the earlier chance when Aguero did not pass. Where would we be if Nasri had chosen to shoot instead of unselfishly passing to Aguero for the first goal ?? Aguero and also Tevez (the attempt to lob) should learn to pass more.

All in all happy with the 3 points and a great 1st half performance.

Great 3 points and in part a top performance but there were also some weak sloppy parts.

Delighted for Garcia,not just to score but to actually look like the player we thought we had bought. Toure and Nastasic battled manfully.Both found out a bit especially Nasti but to give Toure MotM on SKY shows what they know.

Loved Zaba and he would be my MotM even though he wasn't perfect but to set up that goal to clinch it and then when he turned up down the right when Yaya needed help was just typical.The front 4 prompted by Yaya were superb in that first half.It obviously changed when Nasri went off but also when Silva went to the right.

We are so much better with Tevez and Aguero aren't we.Again not perfect but they just play the way we want to play and give us movement and real threat. Dzeko when he came on looked asleep as did Kolarov who I thought was worse than poor. Lescott was the one sub who came on and did what was asked of him,he probably should have been on from the start given the way Newc were trying to score.

Totally agree apart for that I really like to see tevez partnering with a striker who see the goal. Sergio currently doesnt.

I am not a Balotelli fan by any mean. I just don't like that kind of brainless players like Ireland, barton etc. I stated it clear when Mancini did bet on him. Much more reliable options on my books.

BUT once said that, as Ted is wisely repeating game after game, Mario is providing excellent run ins and cut inside all season long and all the shit that ballotelli is getting is just a silly echo of tabloids.
Sergio on the contrary, who I'll never forget what did for us last season, is currently seeing the goal as narrow as a maiden hymen and that is costing us big time.

Fabulous 3 points for us today. Some of our football in patches was like watching us at our very best last season. Defended very well when we had to just like the champions we are.

Only sour note for me on a great victory was soft cunt Nasri looked like he couldnt wait to get off the pitch ........ again !

Some nice looking fixtures coming up now ....... im feeling better already ! :)

I agree with much of that Douglas. However, I thought we handed them the impetus by putting on Kolarov for Nasri. We were carving them to bits, so we put on a defensive player for an attacking one. Mystifying. I think, maybe, I would have tried Sinclair in order to keep us going forwards because they could not cope with us. The goal we gave away was horrible. I think Garcia has been gash for us so far, but you have to credit him today, he was very good.

Great win, as they all are on our travels.

That's the way it turned out for sure as Kolarov looked like he was on mogadon from the second he came on.Sinclair would have been a good shout as were were ripping them apart and it would have allowed Silva to stay left side. Even late on Sinclair instead of Dzeko and we would have scored more but I guess Edin was always coming on for his defensive heading.

I agree about the Sinclair option since Nasri tends to crowd his space a la Dortmund game. The alternative was to bring on Lescott at the centre of a back 3 to bring stregnth to cope with high balls lobbed in.

Overall Mancini was proven right. Lots of very good performances all over the pitch as we finally showed desire. I thought PabZab and Garcia had their best games for City and Kolo was solid compared with many performances.

To say that our weakness has been our set pieces, I thought we did very well. The introduction of Lescott was a god send for me and he seemed to miss nothing, releasing the pressure.

It just shows how a game can change with losing one player. Nasri was inspirational today and once he'd gone off our attacking momentum stopped. Newcastle pushed hard but at no point did I feel they were worth anything other than a loss. It was a very Stoke'esque (the old Stoke btw) type of game for them and the only thing missing was Peter Crouch.

Good 3 points and some lovely football to boot. I'll take that any day of the week.

My MoM's go to the City midfield in the first half where Nasri, Silva and Yaya were on fire, aided by Kun and Tevez and supported by the others, and back to their collective best of the season. Hart also deserves a mention in dispatches. But a good all round performance with some sublime football played.

Opposition teams now all play the same way against us because we can get on the back foot. Maybe we are now finding ways around this or at least showing the desire and keeping concentration to intimidate them from the outset rather than fannying around.

The complete lack of any kind of link up between Dzeko & Aguero at the end, even when both were in acres of space, was exactly what I've been talking about on here & imo, the same thing happens with Balotelli; Aguero won't play with him.

Imo, if Bob can't change that, both Dzeko & Balotelli have to go or Aguero has to go.
