Predicatable delusional quote today. Mathematically Liverpool can still win the Premier League title. Why not claim it too while Rodgers was at it? Not yet full time but 0-3 down at home to a struggling Villa should send a message.

"When asked if a fourth-place finish was possible, Rodgers told reporters: "So is third, so is second and maybe even first. I said to the players this morning that everyone talks about fourth place but what about third?

"We are 11 points off second so, if we can get some consistency, keep our mentality and our focus then it is not fourth place we want to aim for. We have still to play Manchester City and we should have beaten them at home."

Rodgers has gone native, completely. Utterly delusional.

Valencia is a sly fucler - he was being held while having a battle on the wing with one of Sunderland's players and when the whistle didn't go he got his revenge by stepping on his foot.

David Brent's men are 13 points off the foot of the table, and 14 points behind City. Their year.

7 points off relegation and 20 off the top. Sounds a bit better that way.

Looks like Evertons Felliani is in big trouble and a ban via tv evidence after clearly headbutting a Stoke player off the ball !

Makes a change from Shawcross elbowing someone in the face.

In what warped universe did their manager think that there was any possibility all 3 of City, Utd & Chelsea would all drop enough points for them to finish top ?

Yep. Or breaking someone's leg. Couldn't do it to a nicer guy. Think he's in trouble though. There were 3 incidents. 2 elbows and the headbutt. They should technically treat each one separately, so he should be looking at a lengthy ban. I suspect the FA will ignore the elbows, if the Rooney one v Sunderland the other year is anything to go by, and just do him for the butt.

Fellaini doesn't play for Utd though, so you never know.

What you talking about, he's a fully paid up member of the DDP (Delusional Dipper Party). He's got candles and everything.

On another note, did anybody see Foy's [strike]ruining[/strike] running of the Rags game? Allowed the Rags to get away with a fair bit but made sure he unsettled Larson everytime he had a set piece. I don't think I've ever seen a ref go to so much trouble just to ensure the ball was physically inside the corner box. I'm sure we've been told that the ball only has to be inline with it?

Most don't seem to bother much these days (though our ref did on one occasion today).

Ferguson probably told him they had been struggling a bit at set pieces, so it was his chance to get back in the good books.

The club world final is about to start on Beeb two by the way - don't miss out on the chance to laugh at fat Frank getting the run around from some spritely Brazilians in midfield.

I was amazed at how lenient the referee was. Corinthians seemed to be overly physical and were battering Chelsea off the ball.

Torres though, what can you say.

So... Spuds v Swans... Who's the under 11's looking lad playing for Swansea? Smallest player in the prem surely. He has the presence of an in-the-wall Samir Nasri,

Or maybe he just looked so small in the wall next to the CB!

Forgot about the Prem today - only just switched the Spurs game on just before they scored - it's a dodgy stream, like trying to watch the TV through a blanket.
