That wasn't mind games mate, nor was it him deflecting away from his team. That was him losing it because the pressure of the league is beginning to show.
He doesn't have to play a blinder to keep the media quiet, they do it anyway.

Regardless of his intent the impact will be the same. Hope I'm wrong but I expect them to to get bailed out by referees to avoid dropping points twice by end Jan. This will be a big reason why.
