It's three years today since he was appointed manager.How time flies when your having fun.

Of course he has his faults and we may from time to time antagonise over his team selection but he has been doing a superb job.

Some transformation in the time he has been at the club, no longer typical old City.

I recall watching his first game against Stoke in a bar in Cambodia, with only hookers and a mad English guy who owned the bar and later that night set it on fire. Seems a life time ago.

Being a grumpy football fan I believe we won the league despite him last season and we have been criminally crap in Europe. However, if you had told me that we would have won the league and FA cup three years ago I would have biten your hand off.

Mancini has done a superb job.

If somebody had said to you 3 years ago when we were hanging on against Sunderland in Mark Hughes last game, with our defence all over the shop, leaking two, three goals in a lot of matches, that 3 years later we would be the current Champions of England, residing in 2nd place in the table and won the FA Cup in May 2011 then I know everyone would have taken it. Also I did not think we would get to where we are this quickly.

The team framework and shape that is in place, the way we have defended in those three years and the unbelievable home form we have shown in his tenure are all huge positives.

Yes there have been disappointments, our forays into Europe being the most obvious example but Rome was not built in a day and every manager has ups and downs in a reign - look at Ferguson.

Domestically Mancini has done all we could have wished for and more. In Europe, there is work to be done.

How anyone can question his achievements is beyond me. Yeah we all ask questioins when he makes a silly decision but ultimately I trust his judgement.

So with the title slipping away Bob wanted to be cautious, but the players ignored him and attacked.
