He seemed to have a genuine grievance so I'm glad they kept talking to each other and sorted it out.

Apparently the 2 parties have come to an agreement so the Tribunal won't be required.

According to the Daily shit-stirring cunts, the Tribunal is in doubt because Mario has a virus ....

I don't think Mario is on his way out yet by the way. If he were, we'd be hearing from his agent Mino Raiola in the press, no doubt.

So here's to (at least) another full season of disagreements on Mario!
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

I'm with you there. Can't see who is gonna take him, even if we let him go cut price. Think he'll be around for a while yet. I still can't help liking him but i've stopped believing in him. His super talent, so often talked about, looks more of a myth with each passing day.

+1. I don't want to see such attitude nowhere near the Club, by NONE! Then it'd be up to the Club to decide whether his case deserve a "special" evaluation for marketing purposes ONLY (as per considerations posted above). but on PRINCIPLES, WW is very much spot on.

Final point on this how does this get played out via the papers, who is speaking with them City, PFA, or Mario's side. Mancini has to stamp this out.

As it's gone thus far, imo, it's more about the Club convincement, rather than just that of the manager. Bob's opinion is adamant on this, an one of the very few I'm wary about to say the least, he considers Balotelli one of those so rare and precious talents which deserve to take any risk upon, chasing for a future possible massive reward.
I am all about giving the manager full authority on players handling, but this case, imo, is special: if Mario was a normal player he should have been already axed, cause the Club Authority MUST NEVER BE QUESTIONED!, being him not only a potential talent but a media phenomenon there are different aspects - marketing wise - to be taken in to the equation: BUT this is just a Club matter, not one for the manager only.

MANCHESTER, England -- Mario Balotelli has accepted a two-week fine by Manchester City for repeated on-field misbehavior last season and withdrew his appeal against the sanction.

The Italy striker was due to take on City at a Premier League tribunal in London on Wednesday after being handed a fine reported to be 340,000 pounds ($550,000) -- or two weeks' wages.

However, City says in a statement "after amicable talks between the parties, as a sign of respect for Roberto Mancini, the supporters and the club, Mario Balotelli has chosen to accept a two-week fine levied upon him."

City says "Mario remains available for selection for all forthcoming fixtures."

Balotelli missed 11 games last season because of suspension.

I've not seen that on the website, they must've put it out through the Press Office.

Good or bad, I don't know. Many have already made their minds up and it's going to be very difficult for them to change it. Just like Tevez.

To be honest I think we do need him with the games we've got coming up. Whether he'll be a starter is another matter.

He'll have to put in consistent performances if he gets on and at least bag a goal. It's been difficult for all our forwards without a clear run of games, the chopping and changing can help their game and I hope Mancini has told them which partnership he prefers and then sticks with it.

Personally I'd rather it gone to court to see mario lose. With that happening, we'd be more inclined to get rid of him and I doubt he would kick up much of a fuss either.

That's all emotional crap ... with that his value would go down, no one would pay up as they'd know we HAVE to sell him and we'd lose millions, worse might end up being stuck with him, while not being able to play him either ... At the wages he is on, there aren't many clubs who'd be lining up to buy in the first place ...

He has never put a string of consistent performances together mate, can't see this suddenly being the reason to turn that around either.

We all know there is a fantasticly gifted footballer in Mario somewhere ....... totally fed up of hearing and reading about him now , much prefer to hear about some quality performances and goals in a City shirt on the pitch because that is what he gets highly paid for , the lad is a circus and MCFC and its fans dont need a circus we want another league title or the FA cup !
Not really here

yes but realistically mancini isn't going to sell or give up on him is he. If these turn of events happen, they maybe he would be forced too.

He's been at city awhile now anyway, his contract shouldn't have that long left either.
