Lescott: "From then on it became a blur. Everytime we got a corner or set piece, Vinny and I would take it in turns to go up, then we'd go up together. THE MANAGER WAS SCREAMING AT US TO STAY BACK BUT WE JUST PRETENDED WE COULDN'T HEAR HIM"

So with the title slipping away Bob wanted to be cautious, but the players ignored him and attacked.

ad refutationem: refutatorius quibus unus defensor notatos aut adiuvatur?

You must seriously hate celebrations, ain't You?

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Or Bob just thought having at least 1 defender hanging back to prevent a breakout and conceding a 3rd goal was a prudent measure given a 3rd goal would have fucked us totally and its not like we didn't have 3 bleeding strikers on the pitch at the time so hey ho on the 'wanted to be cautious bit'

My advice is try and enjoy the moment. Deep breaths, meditative music and rhythmic chanting may help. Good luck on your search for inner peace and enlightenment

I do enjoy a celebration, more than most possibly. I just want better. Getting shut of mancini is unlikey to mean no more celebrations. Why would it?
I don't recall too many in the ground in those last five minutes urging our big defenders to saty back 'just in case'. Maybe it was just Bob and you wanting that.

Small margins: The last time City were beaten by more than a single goal under Mancini was in April 2011 (a 3-0 loss away to Liverpool at Anfield.

That is a very impressive statistic when you consider how we are supposed to be a bunch of mercenarys. You would expect such a group to cave in when the going gets tough & write some games off, but clearly, however he has done it, Bob has created a strong mentality amongst the players.

For those shouting for a replacement, there is no guarantee another manager will achieve that kind of strength.

Getting rid of Bob may mean less celebrations...it may mean more..who knows. The one factor the Sheikh, Khaldoon et al will bear in mind is that with any change in management you risk the positives that Bob has installed in the squad such as the mentality and teamwork, the little things like not losing back to back PL games for over 2 years and going a goal down and a man down and still winning the match. Sure you will lose Bob's willingness to pick a fight with every player at least once in a season and the weekly stories about dressing room meltdowns but as it never seems to impact on the important bit of winning matches and trophies it seems a small price to pay - interestingly we always seem to up our game when Bob has stirred up unrest and tension so I've stopped caring and was rather hoping Mario would go on strike for 4 months as we played some sublime stuff when Carlos decided that golf not football was the game for him.

But back to that game and what I want is Bob to do his job and concentrate on things such as team shape and discipline whilst I on the other hand am lying sobbing on the floor in the midst of an emotional breakdown I'm convinced I will never fully recover from. In short Bob is paid big bucks to do a job whilst I am there to scream advice in a barely coherent rant which frankly is next to useless in the cold light of day...

...although having watched the raw emotion etched on Bob's face in those last few minutes I think he too had reached the 'screaming advice in a barely coherent rant' stage. In retrospect Lescott was probably wise to cop a deaf 'un.

Its been a roller coaster ride of happiness from the moment numpty was flirted out the door, that peak of joy then topped by beating the rags in the semi before again on up when lifting the FA cup, by the time we had demolished the red shite at their own tip I was having height endued nose bleeds before that final day madness topped the lot.

Roberto was my choice from the start, the last three years have been a blast and long may they continue ;0)
