And Paul; the reason you get so much shit is that most of the threads you start, like this one, seem to be about stuff you haven't even thought through (for example moaning about Guidetti not playing when, in reality it was actually impossible for him to play), so you come accross as something of a mentalist.

I'm fairly well schooled on the other but this and that have never really been my forte.

Once you've mastered the other, this & that often take care of themselves.

I'd really like to see Guidetti integrated carefully into the first team with a view to getting him playing regularly. Those folk-law tales of his scoring in windmill country have got me hungry to see what he can do. We all know that scoring in Holland means scoring in the Prem.

But I'm almost certain City will do some kind of football training with their players every day and people who are actually trained to will be assessing the situation. As opposed to say, guessing what's going on and then talking on a message board. I think if I ran a football club that's definitely how I would operate.

It's fair comment that the dutch league can be very flattering for strikers but it's also fair comment that both City & Utd have played Ajax in the last two seasons, & none of their forwards caused the same problems as Guidetti did.

He is a high energy player though, for whom enthusiasm & effort is a big part of the game. I would have thought it's a big ask to expect him to be that player again in the near future after being inactive for so long.
