spot on mate, from where i was, the defender made no attempt to get to the ball - only to block barry.

Having just seen xavi's gif I can't see a foul by Barry. Perfectly legitimate goal

Honestly think it's one of those games to not even bother analysing. Played well against a really dogged team without creating much. Pinched a goal when a draw looked on the cards. Next game please.

Looking at that gif the defender clearly knew what he was doing

looking for language tutoring: is that the proper english to mean what in Italy we call "to make a bridge", i.e. backing frontwards to avoid who is jumping on his back to find a prop?

genuine, I'd like to know if this was understandable... :-)
ayrshireblue wrote:Thank god for that!! Got to be honest though, for me that was a foul by Barry.

No it wasn't. at least defender made a bridge on his jump.

lol,
so what's the correct English to name the foul committed by a defender, who that forward to prevent the attacker from finding a prop?

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"

2. "ACID QUEEN"

Dunno, I'd say backing in.

Although I reckon arjan is on the money. Defender was trying to be clever and win a foul instead of a simple clearance. Had he actually gone for the header it probably would have been a straight forward foul.
