Robhino didn't have the best of times with us, but I grew to like Elano and despite what people may think, I was gutted when he left.
Overall though, there seems to be a big difference in work rate between Argentinians and Brazilians and I just hope that if there is any truth in the rumour, we get a Brazilian with a good work ethic.

Every time I see Zabs play I think if the Argies had a few more like him there is no way we would have ever got the Falklands back!

The guy from Shaktar springs to mind - one of the few Brazilians who works his socks off (and presumably doesn't mind the cold too much either)

It's certainly a personal bias, rather than an assessment on overall qualities of Brazilians: They certainly are one of, if not THE greatest Footballing Nation, but still..... insofar I am concerned, I much prefer laziness in charge of Bollox Dept.... :-)

Perhaps it is a tad biased, blind-sided by the Brazilians we have had. We all know about their quality and attacking threat.
But eh, for us, I only want the players who are prepared to work and score 50 goals a season!

Fair play, Mate.
I for one am certainly a midfield-centric maniac. all my favourite players were jousting in the core of the game: King Colin, Gianni Rivera, Luis Suarez, Johan Neeskens, Johan Cruijff, Tonino Cerezo, Sócrates Brasileiro Sampaio de Souza, Lothar Mattheus, Twatini, up to recent heroes with the addition of few CBs geniuses ala Vinnie, such as Ruud Kroll, Gaetano Scirea, Franco Baresi, Franz Beckenbauer, but I certainly do endorse Your sensible consideration.

Yet, the biased impression on Brazilians lasts since when Socrates, one of the very top geniouses of the Game, joined the All Stars Serie A of the 80s and didn't exxactly covered himself with glory, despite his immense talent supported by a bright intelligence: probably the hugest disappointment at football along with Alexiey Mykhaylychenko on his Sampdoria days
