Hi, I'm Danny a life long City fan. I'm at the end of 22 years in the Army so hope I can get to more matches now. I missed the play off finals because I was in Bosnia and missed the FA cup final because my 1 year old daughter just had open heart surgery and was released from hospital FA cup final afternoon......just in time to get home and watch it on tv!

I have travelled everywhere watching City and come home to Manchester from far away for a match.

On hear to see the chats, celebrate with City fans, vent frustrations and make a few blue mates.

See you in the forums.

Hi my name is Jacob and I have been a city fan since I was born, I have a season ticket and I sit in the south stand. One of my first memories at a city game was a victory against Scunthorpe where Robbie Fowler scored a hat trick in the FA Cup 3rd Round! I have also been to the FA CUP final and was there on the 13th May 2012! I'm a big blueba and if I am unable to go to a match I would watch it on tv , listen to it on the radio or follow it in some way! Thanks CTID

Morning All,

First post from me from Stockport.
Been lurking for some time.
I often wonder how many packets of fruit pastilles, mancini, kidd & Platt go through on a match day.

Cheers Gareth.

16 year old City Fan from New York City area. I've been supporting City for about 3 years now. My most fond memory as a City fan was wearing my City jersey to school the day after winning the Premier League and hearing all the glory hunter United fans complain about how there was too much stoppage time hahaha. We won the League in Fergie time!!!!

Howdo.

Great forum, with at least 80% of you as mad as Balotelli's cock. A home from home indeed. I'll post an introduction so I'll feel less like a stalker, as I rarely comment (after 7 years on the Salford RL board I've managed about 100) but I'm on the forum most days.

So: born in the quiet, picturesque hamlet of Eccles-Upon-Irwell in the fifties, I can remember that when I was three, on baking days, my auntie would put some ingredients aside to make me a rhubarb pie on a saucer, so following her team was really only the polite thing to do. But on leaving school, I was seduced away from football by women, drugs, women, motorcyles, lasses, politics and da blues (the music, that is) until five years ago, when I bumped into a lad I used to head out to t'Kippax with, flared kecks akimbo and mullets waving in the breeze. We bored everyone else shitless by imitating Alan Ball's squeaky voice when he told us to piss off after an Everton game when we asked for an autograph.

Subsequently I bought a match ticket for the first time since decimalisation. And (though programmes are no longer two shillings and sixpence) how good was that! Great atmosphere, good food and I didn't get twatted by anyone, not even by the dibble (who were the main twatters, as I recall, in the 60s and 70s). And we won, naturally, just like in the 60s, so I guess nothing has changed over the years - we've always been near the top of Football League Division One, right? Nowadays I get to as many games as I can (although I live about 15 miles from Guildford, the home of most rag-fanciers).

My nine-year-old sometimes comes along, but is a Blue mainly due to the massive pile of City merch she gets me to buy her. My best mate lives up North, and though an Irishman who originally took the Liverpool route, has come along to games and can now waggle a banana as good as any of us.

As a whimsical aside, all my mates from Salford are City. At school, we used to have 'over-the-water versus' football matches, and I would join the Salford lads cos they were all blue. And yeah, we used to batter them. Was reading Shaun Ryder's autobiog the other day, and he was saying that if you find a CIty fan in Salford, he's lost. It nearly put an ugly dent in my view of him as a wise old sage.

Yes, it's a pain when people assume Salford is Rag City, almost as annoying as the Trafforders ripping off the 'Red Devils' name earned by the mighty Salford of the 1930s, the thieving gets.

Hello to one and all, the admin of this site, the oldies & youngsters :). Glad to be part of the this community, been posting for a couple of days even before introducing myself :D

About me:
24 year old male from India, ManCity fan from last season.

Love with football:
I used to watch cricket before, but the advertisements and commercialisation on tube made me loose patience and interest. Then my friends introduced me to football. The beauty of the game, team spirit, few David beckham videos of him running around the whole pitch with ball for England, the craziness of football fans, the commitment with which fans support their teams, the happiness supporters feel when their team qualifies for premier league(saw a video on you tube of some club celebrations after qualifying for premier league), all this and much more made me fall in love with this game. Now i dont just follow Mancester City, I play football too :D

Season 2011-12 & falling in love with ManC:
I stay with couples of friends, 1- Arsenal fan, 2nd - Man U fan. I always maintained at the start that I wont support any team and am in love with the beautiful game that is football. After watching all the clubs, my Arsenal friend always maintained that - they are the only club who makes profits and Arsene is the greatest manager. ManU fan was crazily supporting for United, saying they are good they got Rooney. Mid way through the season I did not understand why Arsene was the greatest manager, nor did i see anything special in ManU struggling and scraping through 1-0 wins. There was only ManC which played beautiful football, which left me craving for more magic from Silva and Aguero and the beating of their life given to ManU in derby, slowly I fell in Love with ManC began supporting it my heart out in thick and thin. In May on the D-day my heart was bleeding for win and after Aguero's goal man was I flying, screaming. The day I will never forget and means as much to me as you all :).

I had long been spying reading all the awesome training reports and discussion going on before joining, Glad to have finally joined where I belong :). Someday I am coming to Mancester, some day I am having Beer in sports club screaming for goals, someday I am going to be in ETIHAD stadium with you all :D

Hi all. I've been a city supporter for 25 years, so have lived through the bad and am now enjoying the good. Born in South Africa I now reside in Sydney Australia. An amazing city to live in with the one draw back. The BPL games are all at stupid hours, which is not good for ones sleep.

I am an avid fan and an eternal optimist. I spend a small fortune on getting my kits sent over from Manchester.

I look forward to giving my 2 cents worth on the forums.

Cheers
