Even Mourinho's ego wouldn't allow a meeting with another club in public.

There was some kind of football conference in Dubai. That is where this is from.

City have held a dialogue with Mourinho for years though, hence the rumours every year. I would imagine he is less likely to get the City job now Soriano & Txiki are here, but that won't stop them from talking.
