Nasri VS Milner

I think Milner should be starting 10 out of 10 times when both is fit.
Milner has an incredible work rate and always gives 100%.

I like Nasri, but he has not found his feet in our shirt, it feels often like playing with 10 men. (well today we actually did)
He is no David Silva and he's tip-tap football far to often end up in nothing.

Nasri is another reason our play breaks down and stands still at times. Milner is more likely to have a shot from range when it presents itself too.

Mancini seems to prefer Nasri when both is fit.

Last few games I think Nasri has been the difference in our attacking play. Played well against the Rags (discounting the deflected shot), again before he came off against the Toon and today also, before being ridiculously red carded.

I like Milner but not instead of Nasri. We have no choice though, 3 match ban for Nasri so Milner will get his chance.

Two different players. One give his all, plays like he wants to win and as got grit and determination yet not the most skillful class type player. The other has skill and pulls off some breath taking stuff but nitrogen often enough. Is not consistent and plays maybe one good game out of ten.

I know which i'd rather have pulling o the shirt!

Cazorla is on his day so brilliant he could escape the slagging off here (like Silva) but IMHO otherwise the description is actually decent enough. How many Arse players (current Or present) are that kind of lads who will pull ur team through bad times? Lads like Nasri, Walcott, Gervinho etc certainly haven't been like that

Great argument. Really proved your point. Explain why so? Nasri very rarely steps up. He goes missing so often. There are often times you forget he's even on the pitch. He looks great in a side who are passing the ball well and dominating a game and is capable of moments of magic but when the team is playing shit, more often than not he's nowhere to be found.

I don't see how that's bollocks.The only game I really remember him carrying the team was against Chelsea at home last season.

Saying that, he's been much better in the bits he's played since the derby, so maybe they Private Pile'd him in training following that and he's manned up a bit.

Milner loves the central role. Yaya will be off shortly so Milner will be 1st choice in yaya's position for me. NOT Garcia.....however....Mancini seems to like to disprove what I like to see. Time will tell.

Looked very sharp last two games & has definitely improved us, but I still feel there are 20 or 30 players who can do the same job better than him, some 50% better. (Not Milner though: different kind of player). Imo, we should look to sign someone better & use him as backup or sell.

Most of the top attacking midfielders/widemen playing for top 3 or 4 sides in every decent league basically, including ours. I think most offer more than Nasri has for City. I don't think he's a bad player by any means & technically probably better than many of them, but it doesn't happen enough. I don't think it's impossible he will be effective for us, even this season, but then he's just as likely imo to go back to being average again for half of next season. Something missing imo.

A player who does one thing brilliantly, would be better for us than someone like Nasri who imo does most things ok but nothing brilliantly.

I'd prefer milner mainly because of the work rate, effort and determination to win, not the best footballer but is decent enough to start each week, although I prefer him wide than in the middle.

nasri time and time again is a let down, he was on and off for arsenal but for us, he is mostly off.

when he gets the ball, watch him run around in a circle like a chicken with it, if an opposition player is near him, it is sad, he doesn't even have any confidence either. Majority of the time, like 80% he will give the ball away if he tries to go past just one player.
