Exactly my thoughts there mate. It was nice to see Norwich having a go and without that freekick they'd have been nowhere. Roll on the Nasri sending off and you just got that feeling, I don't know why, that the ref was going to make a game of it.

Forget all the about the manager, players, tactics, formations, this season will not be going our way. The clear freekick on Zab which took him out of the play, and who had AJ in his pocket until then, and then todays performance by the ref!

It's all about Taggart this year, he needs it. Nobody will get in his way.

It's all about Taggary getting his 20th Championship. It's this year's story - Sky achingly want it, the BBC have him lined up for SPOTY, all TV stations have their "Ferguson, Managerial Genius" documentaries in the can. It doesn't take much imsgination to see media executives impatiently checking their watches saying, "Come on, we can't wait forever."

He had a point didn't he. That event created the 24 hour news channel.

You're right about Taggart mate, they wanted it last year. Did you notice that there was a massive build up regarding the 20th year of the Prem which miraculously disappeared when we won the title.

It's set in stone mate. Every favour is being pulled in and every line drawn. It's no coincidence that those who he has 'favoured' are now going against the grain and that he himself is coming out with statements that should be kept in the closet. Our last 2 games alone should show people what is expected this year, it's definately not a coincidence.

Good news ladies and gents, we've just crashed through the magic number. We're safe for another year with 18 games to go. It was a close one but I think I can have another Stella.

42 points. To the Prem.

Don't hink for a single moment that Norwich's plan A was to attack us. Dzecko's first strike put their plan A out of the window and his second goal on 4 mins underlined it.

Norwich would have been disciplined with 2 banks of 4 (poss 4 and 5) but for our great start

It's not that big an ask. We can't always win but at least don't die wondering.

The ref thing is a concern, even down to 5 mins injury time indicated then playing SEVEN! Like "pisscan time" in reverse.

Correct Ted.I watched the match on a stream and am now watching it again on Football First. It surprises me just how dominant we were before the sending off. If it had been 3 nil it would not have flattered us and if Norwich hadn't retreated to try and keep the score down it might have been 5 or 6 at half time. 2 penalties possible and one for me was a cert but Paul Walsh more or less said Zaba dived. ycnmiu

Lets see how the 2nd half looks.

Then came the ref

Agree on what on show in the first 20 mins.
Obviously would be a dream come true as You had always predicated... but I'd suspend the hype till a next probe versus a more parked bus.
Having - finally - a Nasri living up to his talent, for the second game in row, despite an injury in between looks quite encouraging, indeed. we all know were our "weakness" , imperfection I'd better say - stands... and having such a Samir week in and out would help Silva big time.

Twice the more pity that just Nasri was selected by the clown Jones in his desperate quest to gain Slur's complacence. Gutted as raged!

lol ...well. I definitely went off Paul Walsh in that second half as he seemed determined that Norwich should score again. When Lescott headed the ball away and it hit Nasti he thought we were lucky it wasn't a penalty as the ball might have hit his arm on another day!And he was after more time to be added on. 5 minutes was a lot but to add to more was taking the mick.

We were miles the better side all through the game.Lescott should have come on at least 20 minutes earlier not long after we made it 3.1 and we would have won 5.1.

It wasn't that Norwich chose not to park the bus. It's that we attacked with real pace and a high tempo right from the start which didn't allow them to park the bus. Contrast that to the slow, lethargic passing and movement in the Sunderland game
