Norwich were on the attack with players forward early. They were open, we attacked, neever the same scenrio.

On another note, Mancini makes some great points, have the rules changed?

The fact is, in this game we moved the ball a lot quicker. We didn't fuck around with it, we simply put the ball in when we had the chance. Dzeko's first was a great example, direct first time balls with a clinical finish. In the Sunderland game, we moved the ball around at a snails pace, refused to shoot and allowed them to park the bus.

If we play like that, it doesn't matter whether the opposition parks the bus as we have the ability to play through them.

Yap.
to see it half full, the highlights commentary gave quite a fair evidence on almost our claims, for a quite stunning change.
But - fuck me - the studio punditry is as bad as an Italian Rags wankfest by Juventus lickers.

I wonder if we ever have a special league to thrash out all Rags Clubs from all over the world. another issue to take on board should a people revolution ever come... :-)

Wait-one. Norwich were attacking with numbers, we got them out of position twice. Whether their tactic was to get 10 behind didn't matter as we caught them on the break.

Why would we fuck about with it when they've got 3 players defending, we hammer teams like that all the time.

As for Sunderland, did you watch the first 30 minutes where we did exactly the same as today until they fell further and further back. Check out our first few chances, we hit them with speed but couldn't put the goal away. That's a forward problem, nothing else.

Think positive mate, the negative will just eat you up.

I still disagree. I don't care how many players Sunderland had back. It was too slow. We moved the ball too slow, took too many touches and just wouldn't put the ball in.

How do you think(other than by the ref on occasion) the Rags over the years beat teams who park the bus against them?

Course you'll disagree, it'd spoil your last few days on here!

And fuck the Rags. This is not a disagreement woth you this is how we should go about our own business. We may have wanted to change it up during the transfer window but it didn't happen. Whether that be one person or another it didn't happen and it left us with what we have ..... we didn't evolve. How can we play like United without the players that United have? Go on. tell me! But why would you, why the fuck would you want to be the best club in the world by following a climb that your nearest neighbours have already treaded?

It's bollocks mate. We don't have the players to change it up to what United do. We have what we have and we didn't get the players to change it up. We now have to work even harder to be where we are and hope that our forwards can do the business to ensure we are close enough at the end of the season.

If not, let's hope the Rags get some dodgy decisions and we get a few away penalties to see us through. THAT'D BE NICE.

Beefy, completely getting away from the argument at hand.
You know, if they do something particularly well then why not copy it? Do you really hate them that much that you're not willing to try and copy one of their most successful tactics? Then that's just pathetic. People say they don't care what the Rags do? Well we're competing for a title with them, thereby there's going to be a lot of comparisons.
Lots on here have been saying that we can't pass the ball quickly or shoot first time or up the tempo if the other team sticks 10 men behind the ball but you've offered no solutions.

The only difference between today and Sunderland is that we moved the ball quicker and with more purpose. It doesn't matter what the opposition does. We're good enough to break down anyone.

So angry you had to repeat it twice ;-)

Look, there is nothing wrong with emulating the Rag tactics but if you haven't noticed we haven't quite got the same personnel. We tried to change that in the window and the manager realised, it just didn't come off. Where do you go from there but to try and motivate the players that won the PL to emulate what they did the year before?

Things change but we haven't. We have near enough the same players who are getting exactly the same chances but this season we aren't taking them. Injuries and onward form haven't helped that but we're fighting through. Pity some of our fans aren't.

And some have a go at Nasri!

Night then.

In many of our recent games we've had early chances, didn't take them and then struggled. Today we converted the early chances, still a bit of a struggle but we were always going to win.

Makes a big difference.

This is true.

Right from the off it was evident, Silva Aguero & Dzeko were all attacking the oppo penalty area with a quick 123 move. When was Silva's last volleyed pass assist without taking an extra touch ? The swamp last year ?

At 2-1 Norwich often had 10/11 players in their own half, 8 or 9 in the box, but rather than just passing in front of them, we were looking all the time to get players behind their lines, setting up shots & even putting in the occasional 1st time cross, (although Zabba & Nasri should do it more still) THEN REGAINING POSSESSION when the ball was cleared, proof that you can still have huge possession & put the ball into the box sometimes.

That's something else the rags have proved over the years both in the Prem and in Europe. If people don't like to hear that then tough, it's true whether they like it or not. There is a lot we can learn from them, just as we can learn from Barca or any other successful method (Yaya's little diagonal pass which Zabba headed accross was pure Barca). We should learn from it all & use it all.

The rags are shit scared of us !

Nice to see an opposition team (Norwich) set up the same way as if they were playing the rags yesterday , it certainly gives us more space for the likes of Silva and Yaya to be at there most effective ...... no coincedence Aguero was back to his best aswell. We still could have scored another 4 or 5 goals with 10 men on the pitch and without Silva after he was taken off . Biggest thing of all for me yesterday was the fact we started like a house on fire and scored early ........ it makes all the difference as the opposition then have to chase the game which makes life a whole lot easier for us !

Lastly great to see Edin Dzeko remind us all what a clinical striker he can be when we get the ball to him in the right positions !
Not really here

this fucking ref is a joke.

just watching motd, and thinking how sunderland got away with the foul on zaba and that we kind of got away with kompany fouling johnson in the build up to our second...

but the foul by kompany from which norwich scored their first is a muthafuckin joke and ref was two yards away...

not to mention the rest of his bad decisions.

Poor refereeing overall, that made the job that much harder.

At least we scored plenty of goals - good job we did - and Aguero ran his socks off up top in a great display.

Much as I dont agree that Nasri merited a red and Bassong only a yellow, Nasri's slight head movement forwards means I cant see us winning any appeal for that red card - should have been two yellows or, even though it would have been wrong two reds, but to dish out different punishments was daft. For the Garrido backpass I think the ref simply didnt know the rules, end of. There was also multiple other occasions where a decision went against us when it shouldnt have done, so to overcome this said a lot for our character.

Our defending, particularly at set-pieces, requires an overhaul as it was downright piss poor. At this time of year the result is everything and it was an important 3 points. That said, we need another 6 or 7 of these wins on the spin to put any pressure on Utd, and with Arse away on the horizon, sans Ya Ya, that looks rather unlikely.
