James Bond And Knightrider

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

James Bond And Knightrider

Postby King Kev » Tue Jan 01, 2013 8:07 pm

I can't believe two of my boyhood heroes were at our match today. My 12 year old self would have been beside himself with excitement.

No wonder we played so well today with these two watching!

Timothy Dalton's been coming since he was a kid, apparently (except when saving the world from megalomaniacs, obviously).

It was the derby....what do you expect? its safe to say that Tom Cruise doesn't believe in football. Scientology outlaws it. He's no blue, don't worry.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Was a bit sick nearly, halfway through the Hoff interview. Had to turn it off. The guy is a dick. I don't care what anyone says, even if they agree. Just can't stand the prick.

I like him, he hasn't tried to come across as a born and bred blue and he likes football.

a totally narcissistic douche-bag ... but I see him more of a tragic figure then as a target for hate. His life has just turned into one big running joke which, to be fair, he seems to take pretty well. I do still consider him a stain on my hometown's otherwise excellent track record of producing and attracting interesting people.

I do appreciate that he did not try to come off as a die-hard city fan, just mentioned that his buddy brought him here and he's supporting us tonight ... I think he mentioned that he was going to a scum game as well? I'm not sure I stopped watching in the middle of the interview to go dig up his drunk hamburger video tape from 2007.

I also found this quote by him on acting in Knight Rider pretty amusing:

'He describes the acting he has done as "a little more difficult than if you had a regularly well-written script – like, if I was going to be in, say, Reservoir Dogs, or The Godfather, or Dances with Wolves or Lawrence of Arabia or ER, I had to talk to a car."'

Hoff makes me laugh, and I was pleased to see he could still stand up. When I've seen him interviewed he's quite realistic and doesn't mind laughing at himself, and his habit of falling over etc.

Fancy me forgetting Curly, he used to sit in the seat in front of me in the new Kippax - until the new exec boxes were finished and then he fucked off up above us - that mysterious lift-only area like something from the Man From Uncle!
