Still, a great turnout and should be a good game. Watford are playing really well.

The mrs is from Watford and we're moving to Cyprus next month. Never taken her to a game and would love to before we go.
Does anyone know of two tickets going? Next to each other ANYWHERE.
Any help really would be genuinely appreciated. It would mean a lot to me.

Surprisingly, this match has sold out. Watford are bringing 6-7000 with them and though the club have done well on the pricing with adult tickets 15-20 quid but the Colin Bell Stand Level 3 is still closed for the match so we could have got even more in. With this in mind I am guessing the capacity will be around 42,000??

They've learnt from experience and realised that the price does matter in the Cup. Full house is more important than the revenue sometimes.
I'll never forget that League Cup SF last year when the teams ran out to a half empty stadium (cos it was £40 and the 4th home game on the bounce, second against Liverpool) and the air immediately went out the team.

You have to bear in mind that for Cup games, the opposition club takes a 25% share of the income, and therefore they have to agree to the price reductions too. I suspect City would happily reduce the prices for every cup game, but its not that simple unfortunately.
Its one of the reasons United dont lower the prices, clubs going to the swamp in the FA cup know they will get more from 50/60000 at full price, than they will from 75k at half price.
In this case it makes financial sense for watford if you do the maths between 25k at full price, or 48k at half price, there isnt much in it, and they all get to play in front of a full house.
