Mario got 3 votes apparently. The captains of Austria, Laos & Palestine clearly know their shit!

The 11 players picked are quality, but it is a joke that they all play in La Liga.
This is those bent bastards at the top giving the PL two fingers.
You can imagine them sitting together whispering, "they think they have the best league in the world! Watch this."
BANG! All 11 players from La Liga.
Jokers.

I'm trying to find out who gets to vote for the best player and the best team but have yet to find anything on wikipedia or on FIFA's website. Anyone know?

Nevermind about the Ballon d'Or, I found the stats on FIFA's site. But the world team, how's that then?

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Tranny was better than Messi this year. What did Messi win?

It's not. It's voted for by the managers of all the official FIFA national teams, the national team captains (players), and a select number of media (one publication / journalist from each FIFA country).

It looks odd that they all play in Spain, but who would you swap out and who for? The centre halves would be at risk for me, but outside that you'd be struggling.

You could argue van pussy instead of Falcao based on the last 12 months, but it's debatable. Yaya and Silva have been great for us in patches over the 12 months but, age aside, would you not swap them for Xavi and Iniesta in a heartbeat?

I can't think of many premier league players who you could argue a case for being in that list instead and if you're not in England or Spain you'll struggle due to less publicity.

In general I don't like any awards for sports or art but I especially don't like these types of awards that gives praise to peole who are already as acclaimed as Messi and co are. I mean, it's not like he's unaware of his greatness and it's not like he lacks praise.

The world eleven I don't get. It's voted for by Fifpro members but what is that? It also seems that anyone voting for this eleven also enters a competition of some sorts, which is always a good way to make an award seem professional.

Best defender. Now that's an award. And only forwards should be allowed to vote. Best tackler: only voted for by people who's suffered a broken leg during the season. These types of awards are the shit.

Yaya, silva, RVP, drgba and cole were unlucky not to get on the list imo. Marcelo cant defend for one and yaya instead of alonso.

i too was surprised now to see yaya on there - as for the ballon d'or - they should just name it - "we just give it't messi award" for at least the next 5 years

I would change the centre halves, and I suppose you have a point with the rest of the team.
But, as great as iniesta and xavi are, and they are great, I don't know if they would be as effective in the PL. Playing one, I think would be fine, put playing both together in the PL I think would backfire.
Part if the reason they can do what they do is because of the system Barca play. The two of them playing in our team wouldn't get the same protection, nor would they have the triangles to play out of trouble.
My opinion, and I agree they are amazing players, just not sure if they would perform as well in the PL together.

Marcelo and Ramos are in the back 4 but no Kompany, are you kidding me? That man is a work horse, one of the most under appreciated players in football. This list is a joke, Xabi Alonso isn't even the best midfielder on Madrid IMO Ozil is much better!!!

He's not under appreciated in England (even by the those who seem to be anti-City) - the rest of Europe (except Belgium obviously) and the world still hasn't caught on yet though, I agree.
So this is how it feels to be City,
This is what it means to stand tall,
This is how it feels when our club has no debt at all.
